Switch 1's install base is a potential problem for Switch 2

What kind of upscaling/fram gen AI enhancing capabilities will the S2 have? It would be awesome to play the Zelda games (and others) at 4k and/or 60 fps and that could be a solution to this problem and a "reason to upgrade"

How many publishers are going to forgo that 150M install base to sell a Switch 2 exclusive? The install base ratio is going to be very lopsided in the first few years.

Switch 2 has a bit of an uphill battle imo.
Jus like it was a problem back at PS2-to-PS3 gen. Devs always manage to so some sort of port to the weakest denominator until the fountain dries. It doesn't mean that devs won't do great games for Switch 2, mainly because it will probably sell like hot cake.

It will have DLSS, but we don't know to what extent though yet.

No one is abandoning last gen hardware anymore. Crossgen is a technical and financial necessity.
Nintendo will have to abandon Switch 1 and 2 HW because they're built around physical media.
Nintendo and PS can't compete with Steam on a level playing field until they start new digital-only generations that never get turned off.
PS should've made the move when they added DualSense, creating two distinct PS eras - DualShock and DualSense.
