Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Might wait for the Switch 2 lite this time around. I have the Deck for a beefy boy. I want something portable from Nintendo.

if they still use those shitty sticks, get ready to instantly replace them with hall effect ones if you want a system that works for more than 12 months tho lol
Luckily my Switch Oled has seen over 1000 hours playtime and the joy cons have never developed drift. Feels like a miracle unit as my day one developed drift after around 100 hours. Hoping the lawsuits and free replacements in the US and EU result in better QC this time around.

I don't think they can make them much better. it really is just luck based.

it is kind of a joke however that hall effect sticks aren't the default now on every controller

So it looks like Nintendo is finally going to carry their console name (i.e. Switch) forward?
(I suppose the Wii U was the last time they tried doing it)

Nintendo has waited way too long to announce this damn thing.
They seem desperate to stick to a schedule allowing for extra launch hardware surplus and dev time for update patches and launch window software.

My fear is they are going to risk losing hype and interest if they continue dragging out the announcement.

Every single dropshipper does this based on current speculation. Very common in the high end smartphone sphere, too.

If there's no oled switch at launch, 0% chance of me buying. All my screens except my work laptop are oled. I look at lcd with contempt daily.

mhh, yeah, it just looks like a bigger Switch.
the mystery button on the right joycon is still weird to me tho. I really wonder what the hell that could be.
we see that we already have a home and a share button at the same spots as on the Switch 1 Joycons, so what could that button be?
it has to be some brand new function that the Switch 1 does not have.

I think that button almost confirms some new gimmick it's gonna have. but what kind of gimmick could be tied to an additional button?
wireless HDMI maybe? you press the button and the system sends a wireless HDMI signal to the dock and functions like a Wii U gamepad?
Wireless HDMI is still pretty expensive I think. about 80 bucks for a set of senders/receivers, so maybe an improved version of their Wii U tech, upgraded to support like 1080p or 1440p or something?

it would be hilarious of course if, in the end, it turns out that button does something extremely mundane like turn the screen off or some nonsense... or switch between 2 coupled Joycon mode into separate single joycon mode... something completely boring :messenger_grinning_sweat:

If it's going to be the exact same thing, just make a box version of it so that we don't buy handhelds that never get any use as handhelds.

Oh no we "accidentally" leaked the switch 2, now everyone will talk about our accessory for it.
