Today, Take-Two Interactive released its earnings report covering the second quarter of fiscal 2004, and six-months ended April 30th, 2004. Highlighted by the shipping of such titles as Red Dead Revolver, Mafia, Manhunt and Max Payne, Take-Two Interactive reported net sales at $153.4 million, compared to $193.0 million last year. Net loss for the quarter was $14.6 million; with net sales for the six months ended April 30th at $528.9 million (as supposed to $604.0 million last year) and net income of $17.2 million.
On the games side of things, Take-Two Interactive first and foremost commented on sales of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in Japan. Citing Media Create, Take-Two reported that 300,000 copies of the game have been sold in the region as of May 30th, 2004. Additionally, as with most earnings reports, the company outlined its release schedule over the next little while. Broken down by label, the list confirms our earlier story on Vietcong coming to consoles, amongst other things.
