Thank you all for your continued support. We're working to release the physical edition of Hi-Fi RUSH with our partners at Limited Run Games, as well as a final patch to address some minor issues releasing later today.

Shame it's Limited Run, at least though their current gen offerings are mostly fine since they use the platform holder's disc print services.

As for Tango, ngl I kinda hope some entity in Japan (whether the Japanese government or another corp) swoops in and saves them somehow.

I remember back thinking I wanted an 808 shaped Series X while playing through the game at launch.
Now I just want to throw a rotten egg at the Microsoft headquarters.

I've been waiting for the physical release, and tbh I still really want it, but it feels extra shitty knowing that my €€ would go to LRG (and also MS/Bethesda who shut them down). Very conflicted on this.

They really got done dirty. Hopefully they all land good jobs at Mikami's new studio, but I especially feel for John Johanas who really got to make his longtime passion project and got knifed in the back.

Mikami leaving was already concerning. I think it's quite sad how this ends.
Under MS, when the studio founder leaves it really does seem to be the death of the studio.....

Oops, err, sorry, didn't see you there Ninja Theory.

They didn't hear me did they? ... Shit!

My steps as an employee if MS shut that studio down:

0) wait for last pay packets to go out
1) back up the code base to an unknown location
2) nuke the codebase
3) release a distro online for free to minimise MS' continued income from it

Would probably get put in jail for longer than most rapists and murderers but...YOLO.

4) Be sued to the point you never financially recover and probably go to prison for a year
