If she took her cloths off she'd be invisible. The woman is skin and bones.
She's not nothing but definitely ain't familiar with the gym....or the sun!

If we were back in the 80s, there'd be random gratuitous boob scenes throughout the movie.
Damn straight, and if the lead actress didn't want to do it they would just throw in an obvious body double or just have a bunch of flashbacks of the lead male banging chicks. Can't have more than 5 minutes go by without violence or nudity!

What the hell is with that first 5 sec ???
"the gorge trailer..... STARTS NOW"
Do Apple really think their customer base is that retarded ?

This really annoys me about modern trailers !!! Never understood who it’s targeted at. I mean you click on the trailer to watch it. It’s not like you don’t know what you are doing

(That and the age old classic of spoiling a movie in the trailer. Another total nonsense choice that gets made for 😬)

Zoomer attention span is so short that they need to be immediately reminded that they clicked on a movie trailer :messenger_grinning_smiling:

It’s because that ‘starts now’ part is used on tiktok/reels/shorts to entice people to click into the full trailer on those apps.

Movie companies just lazily don’t remove it from the full version on youtube. I guess it would cost extra to edit out a few seconds from each trailer so they release it whole.

Makes more sense now, even if it's still very stupid, thanks March !

Movie trivia time : Did you know Gorge means throat in French, and this particular gorge seems pretty deep

Watched it last night. Premise had me until we found out what the “monsters” were.

An actual “gate of hell” would have been much cooler.

Predictable ending.

Sadly, no. It’s some sort of romantic tower defense movie … that turns into a Doom Eternal movie … that turns into a Resident Evil movie to explain the mystery/conflict …the mains have zero chemistry … and the writing/script is dog shit.

Best part in the movie is when the main character almost gets eaten.

I give it a C-

This movie is so bad it deserves to be discussed alongside the true titans of trash: Dreamcatcher (2003) and Serenity (2019).

Fucking horrible.

I quite liked the organic zombie designs, first 45 minutes were also really interesting, but got more generic as time went on; would have been a more interesting movie if they never actually went down there.

Utterly meh, I was hoping for an actual gateway to hell but nah, generic bioweapon gone wrong shite, the leads had zero chem, definitely a straight to video movie

Wasn’t great. But for a weekend watch on a streamer I enjoyed it. For what it was

The end was a bit weak and obvious and some shots looked great. With others not so much. A cool tower defence set piece was well done though 👍😎

Didn’t think much of the leads chemistry, but their performances weren’t the worst I had seen. I did also think the first hour or so, did have its charms and moments.

The gorge I think just wasn’t sure what it wanted to be, possibly it was intended with the crazy tonal shifts. But this was entertaining in a kind of dark souls meets resident evil. with a typical bonkers mystery, sort of way

I enjoyed it. I pretty much enjoy anything Anya Taylor Joy does. I like the callback scenes to Whiplash and The Queen's Gambit

It's got some really cool ideas and visuals but the cliche romance throughout ruins it, honestly. I feel like there was originally a different plan for the third act because the 'possibility of being infected' subplot just completely disappears from the movie, and the plot just follows the path to a happy ending. Meh.

Weird movie. Feels like it wants to be a video game.
Yeah, I watched it with my girl and she kept saying the exact same thing. I thought it was pretty terrible.

I went into it expecting a thriller/horror film with some action and instead it was a dumb action romance with all the "modern" filmmaking tropes. I mentally checked out once they showed what was in The Gorge. It's amazing how bad modern films are at utilizing mystery - the exposition dumps later in the film are completely absurd. But hey, that's modern filmmaking for you - everything has to be spoon-fed to the audience.

The "connection" bits are boooooringggggggggggggg Jesus Christ. Other than that it's ok I guess. I'd rate it Ok/Good. Or 3/5. Or C. Whatever.

Went into this movie completely blind, didn’t even watch the trailer. I was pleasant surprised. I really thought it was going to be some spy vs spy political thriller so the sudden gate of hell/zombie thing was a fun and interesting twist. Definitely felt like a video game in a few of the action scenes. I liked it, solid popcorn and streaming movie for a rainy weekend.

Apple TV+ has been constantly this - great ideas when you think, massive budgets to bring it to life, terrible execution at the end.

I was super excited for Foundation but they massacred the show. So boring and cliched. What’s the point of that insane VFX?

Exceptions: Killers of the flower moon, Tetris, the Boy Mule, Fox, Horse and maybe CODA.

She had buccal fat removal surgery, like the girl from The Boys. Real shame.
Wtf why? She had such a peculiar face :messenger_pensive:

I thought she was the type of actress who doesn't give a damn...

Tbf i thought she was at her peak during split, she was cute as a button in that movie.

She did it around the time of Furiosa I think. Who knows why it became a trend, probably women sabotaging each other. No man’s complaining about their pre-surgery looks…

Decent movie. It's all over the map; it's serious, yet funny, yet wtf cringe. I like the ideas maybe it should have been filmed more serious, documentary style? Would like to see more from the creators!

Same writer as The Tomorrow War, a similarly dumb yet entertaining movie. Also wrote Fast X, which I've heard was just dumb.

As for the director Scott Derrickson, this movie is nothing like his previous work, which is usually in the realm of horror (Sinister, Black Phone, Exorcism of Emily Rose). I was shocked when his name popped up at the end.

Made for AppleTV I think had something to do with it. Seemed toned down for sure, yeah. There's was some really great concepts I thought, like when
the ground was alive..
And I was hoping to get a glimpse of Anya's as... wow she's white af!:
