PCGames -100/100

The developers of Nixxes and Iron Galaxy seem to have learned from the mistakes of the predecessor. This time, the PC port is in a much better technical state. Thanks to a very effective optimization, even players without the latest high-end graphics card can enjoy the game. Regardless of whether you are starting the second part for the first time or are a seasoned veteran: The Last of Us Part 2 is also a masterpiece on PC.

ImpulseGamer - 96/100

Nixxes has done a fantastic job bringing The Last of Us Part II Remastered to the PC platform. A vast, beautiful game, that scales well across a vast array of hardware.

PressStart Australia - 95/100

The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC delivers in spades. The PC-specific features are welcome, though the DLSS implementation needs a bit of work. That said, this is easily the best way to play one of this generation’s greatest games.

COG Connected - 95/100

With remasters, the question is always whether owners of one version should pony up for the newest iteration. Any PC gamer who doesn’t already own The Last of Us Part II on console should definitely pick this up. It still overshadows most narrative action adventure games released in the past few years. If you already have the remaster on PS5, the new content is coming your way. The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC is a fantastic way to experience both the original game and some very worthwhile extras.

CGMegazine - 90/100

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered’s PC version is really good. The inclusion of No Return, Lost Levels not to mention the plethora of graphical options and features make it the best way to experience the game.

GameReactorUK- 90/100

The final product is excellent, and my unpopular opinions about game length do not change the fact that this remains - still - one of the greatest video game releases of all-time.

GamesRD - 90/100

The Last of Us Part II Remastered for PC is an excellent option for those who still want to experience this game at its best possible quality. The visual improvements and solid performance place it among Naughty Dog's best ports. While the scaling technologies don’t make a huge difference, playing it on PC comes very close to the PlayStation experience.

Gamesczx - 90/100

A no-nonsense port of one of the best console narratives finally arrives on PC. If the lush, overgrown post-apocalypse of the first game got under your skin, there's no reason to hesitate with The Last of Us: Part II Remastered. Aside from slightly longer loading times due to shader compilation in the No Return roguelite mode, the technical execution is nearly flawless.

PCGamer - 60/100

A rough port and bungled narrative make The Last of Us Part 2 hard to recommend, though the remaster's additions and moment-to-moment action satisfy.

PC gamer: 60/100 “a rough port”

PCGames: 100/100 “very effective optimization.”

Someone is lying.
With variable specs, it's hard to tell.
My game runs mostly fine and I'm using RTX 3080 (10GB), 64GB RAM, Ryzen 7 7800x3d and on a mostly high settings, 2k. What were those reviewers using?

The game has a super weird grainy artifacts all over the screen it's extremely distracting
Yea it doesn't seem like a good port for PC. However, if HZD and Returnal is anything to go by, PC will need to wait a month or so before things are better.

My PC would likely eat this game for breakfast, but can't speak for everyone.

A mod needs made to skip the abundance of ‘walk and talk’ scenes that drag this game’s pacing down. It does have amazing combat gameplay and is a technical showcase when you get past the pacing and narrative misses.

What are you trying to insinuate? I'm not just trying to play a game. I'm playing a story, about characters in a world. If I wanted YOLO movement with just gameplay, there's always other games for this that put you in non-stop action. Personally, I can't stand that.

Of course not it's Alex. He has a huge hate bonner for Sony. Its easy to spot as it pops out when he's wearing his skirts.
Hard to argue with Alex in this case though. I mean he has the evidence and is showing it. 60 second load times is not Alex being anti-Sony. You think he drew the frame-time graph with a sharpie?

There are too many of those sections in TLOU2, at times only separated by cutscenes. TLOU1 was far better paced with the ‘walk and talks’ being more sporadic.
