I'd like to highlight a very underrated figure in gaming, Noboru Sugimura was a writer for the Capcom company Flagship, though he didn't create the series, in my opinion he really made Resident Evil what we know and love starting with 2, he was also the co writer for Haunting Ground, one of my all time favorites.

Capcom has never been as interesting without him, RIP.

Didn't know much about him, but he was apparently the main writer on the first Sukeban Deka series and Kamen Rider Black, both shows had great writing.

Yup, his background was Tokusatsu series and he often brought that vibe to Resident Evil.
