Home consoles are not equal to handhelds. I'm sorry if you think otherwise, they are not the same, they are not engineered the same, they are not marketed the same. They are both gaming devices, but the distinction must be made. There will always be an asterisk next to Switch total sales because it sold as a pure handheld (Lite model).

NES and Atari has far more than that actually. This is counting only the official numbers, both system were heavily pirated and/or had unofficial versions all around the world. I would bet NES have more than 100 million and Atari somewhere around 60 million.
