My thread title basically. If there are any Trump voters in OT, I imagine now that we're a few weeks from the post election euphoria y'all probably felt, things are getting a bit settled. So now that we've seen some of his cabinet selections, his tweets indicating his policy positions and how he is currently using the bully pulpit, how do you guys feel basically?

Also I'd like to hear from those that are close to or interact with Trump voters/supporters and what they currently observe in the reactions of their friends, families and coworkers to the post-election cycle so far.

Probably should add that from what I've observed in previous threads that Trump supporters have posted in, you'll be expected to backup any statements that appear baseless. Just fyi

Do you actually expect anything to come of this? More than half of the posts are shitting on Trump and his supporters, now you want to bring them into a thread to continue?

My stepdad thinks he'll be a fine president and that I'll be pleasantly surprised at his policy decisions. Being asian, having a mixed-race daughter, a wife that's got a chronic disease w/ poor long-term prognosis and planning on getting solar some time next year I feel that's going to be a long shot.

I mean I thought I'd have to try something. Genuinely want to know if they are happy with the direction things are currently going. If it's what they expected. Ultimately I think some of them will need to be convinced that their interests under Trump will likely not be protected.

He's not even president yet, wouldn't this be a better question to ask sometime in July?

I'm sure someone will ask again by then.

They are lurking and giggling thinking Donald is going to bring their jobs back from China and Vietnam.

He'll bring them back but at the same pay rates and working conditions. Hope you like making Iphones for 12 hours a day for enough money to buy a Happy Meal at McDonalds.

Doubt any would be brave enough to reveal themselves in this thread. I would hope they feel regret and a deep sense of shame.

They're not going to come out. I mean, what can they really defend? A full embrace of climate change denial? A promise to strip gays of their rights? Billionaires with influential cabinet appointments? Individuals given high ranking positions with absolutely nothing in the way of experience to validate the appointment? Random declarations of jailing flag burners? A candidate who promised to return jobs to the Rust Belt, while he nominates a Labor Secretary who is an adamant supporter of the same automation that has led to Rust Belt joblessness? Brazen ethical violations and conflicts of interests from pretty much any angle you look at the administration?

Trump supporters already had little oxygen here, but now they're in a position where they can't frame their support with the convenient foil of Clinton. All there is is Trump, with his ignorance, hypocrisy, and selfish desire to only enrich himself and those like him.

I'm sure that one month later we're all thinking of how it will go, regardless of who you've voted for. As it stands it's just been a massive pile of nothing happening.

PAGING TEAM ALUCARD AND DIABLOS991!
Yeah. Don't know if they are banned know but these are the only trump until the end folks that didn't go in all the banning.

They probably don't want to get dogpiled, this thread does seem kind of like bait.

Not a Trump voter as I'm not American, but I admit I thoroughly enjoyed watching how smug 99% of GAF was before the election only to watch it end in (literal) tears.

Truly staggering how much people underestimated him, how they were so confident in a Hillary win and ended up being so wrong.

I didn't vote for him but most of the people in my area did. They talked about it a lot right after he won and during the election, but now I really don't get many people saying anything about it.

The logic they would using when that happens is, he brought their jobs back and made America great again while sipping on a milkshake with 99% sugar not being able to afford healthcare as Donald would have taken care of that too.

Still being in the denial stage of being conned, it's a tough ask for them to step into the spotlight to talk about how they were tricked into electing the far right.
