The big footballing event of the summer has been postponed to 2021 to combat the Coronavirus and allow European Leagues time to recover and play their fixtures.
Meetings were due to begin on Tuesday morning and an official announcement on any decision is not expected until mid to late afternoon.
However, the Norwegian FA tweeted a message on Tuesday confirming that the tournament would be delayed.
The short statement read: “UEFA has decided that the European Championship is postponed to 2021. It will be played from 11 June to 11 July next year. More information coming.”
