I can honestly forsee oil rising 130+ very quickly because its only going to get worse.
The dollar will lower even further.
The upcoming conflict somewhere at the end of the year 08.

The problem with this thought process is it pretends that each country is in it's own vacuum. For us to use nukes tells everyone else, especially those countries that are gaining power, that nukes are a solution. We all effect eachother.

Not really that surprising considering we've not had a sound foreign policy for a number of years now. Which, when combined with some of the trends in the economy that have been going on for years, only makes the economic fallout that much worse. I don't foresee things getting any better anytime soon since foreign policy can't be turned around overnight, particularly with an administration that's hellbent on a my-way-or-the-highway approach, and there's not much that can be done on the economic side of things, short of largely letting the chips fall where they may.

If I had to look into my magic 8-ball, I'd wager it'll be a craptastic holiday shopping season for retailers (which probably means increasingly better deals being offered), a tight season for consumers, who likely won't change a thing with regards to their behavior and still expect things to somehow turn in their favor, and foreign policy being largely "as is" without some real leadership from the Europeans, since it won't be coming from our side of the pond. That said, I suspect gases prices will rise in the short term but ultimately stabilize and come down to around $3 on a national average, perhaps just a bit under, barring any unforeseen further political conflagrations in the Middle East. As for the market, it'll likely bounce back up; I don't think it'll continue to tank with any real substantial amount. Buuuuut, that's just my wild guess.

As for Magic Mile, just ignore the doucherocket.
