I was talking with my GF yesterday and to my big surprise she said she hadnt heard or seen of Schindlers List... o_O

Ok well no biggie really, it's probably a good movie but it's been 20 years since Ive personally seen it. I havent seen Casablanca, Gone with the Wind and such. Neither did I watch Pirates of the Caribbean. Mostly old stuff like Lawrence of Arabia, not seen it. I should maybe watch some of these old ass movies but time is valuable heh. Maybe I should watch Spartacus too?

Probably more movies on my list that I havent watched but cant come up with em right now.

What are some big/well known movies you havent seen? Are u planning to watch them or no?

A lot of people won't have seen films still considered classic because they came out years before they were even born, rarely surprising.

The Pianist is a big one for me, rarely a night where I fancy feeling miserable for 2.5 hours. Cars, The Da Vinci Code, King Kong, Troy. I haven't seen the last 6 DC comic book movies. Any Transformers beyond 3.

Never seen any of them Harry Potter, Pirates, Hobbits or Twilight films. I watched the first Batman and the Joker, but apart from them I never watched any of those dumb superhero movies. They all look like Twilight for boys if you ask me. Never seen any of the new Star Wars. Well, I watched maybe half of the first one with Jar Jar and switched that shit off. Never felt the need to watch any of the others. They ain't Star Wars. They're just bullshit.

The Pianist is very, very good. It’s heavy, but not emotionally manipulative misery porn whatsoever.

Basically none of the big Mafia or cowboy movies.
They've just never really appealed to me.

Also most of the stuff from before the 60's like Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, etc (except for a few like most stuff by Chaplin and Harold Lloyd).

Any Marvel/DC movie the last 4 years or so.

Any Star Wars movie. Even the classic trilogy. I only saw parts of the first movie.

Any Fast n Furious movie.

All Harry Potter movies appart from the first one, partially.

Any of the so called "horror" movies the last decade.

I don't think i watched a single movie in 2021.

The Godfather movies.

Completely uninterested.
Kind of the same. I tried multiple times to watch the first one and couldn’t get more than about a half hour in before I had to turn it off. No desire to ever try again. And I really enjoy a lot of other mob movies.

I've only seen the first Twilight movie, it was OK. I wasn't a teenage wannabe vampire girl like my sister in 2010 or whatever so I didn't watch the rest when they came out.

Never watched the last two Star Wars movies and don't plan on it. IDGAF about Disney either.

I don't watch MCU/DC either unless a friend drags me to the theater.

For those who haven't watched LOTR ... Y'all really are missing out on the GOAT trilogy.

I wish I could say the same about Harry Potter, but it's very much generational (kind of like Twilight). You won't get it unless you were a kid going to the premier every year for that decade. I personally am a HUGE harry potter fanatic because I was only a few years younger than the cast and grew up with the books, video games, etc.

I went through a phase of watching the "must see before you die movies", but I didn't quite get them all in, so I've still got:

Scarface
Memento
Pulp Fiction
Seven Samurai
Taxi Driver
Raging Bull
A Clockwork Orange
It's A Wonderful Life
Psycho
Mulholland Drive
Singing In The Rain

Seen all the other "must sees".

I think I've probably seen most of the "you must watch these pleb" movies. I haven't watched many of the "modern" kids movies like Harry Potter, Twilight, Marvel, and the like. I haven't watched a lot of modern movies in general since about 2005.

I never saw The Shining, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or Doctor Zhivago.

The Godfather 2 and 3. I really like the first movie but still haven't seen the sequels. I have played the two games.

I saw Tiger Claws 1 about 1,000x. I saw Tiger Claws 3 at least 5x.

Never in my life have I ever seen Tiger Claws 2. Not even sure it actually exists.

Still haven't seen Abel Gance's Napoleon, The Passion of Joan of Arc or Das Kabinet des Dr. Galigari... :messenger_pensive:

Many reason why. Some, I just never had interest in the plot summaries I've read or just haven't gotten around to them yet. That doesn't mean I'll never watch them. Half of all the "well-known" movies I had not seen until my wife showed them to me as I used to only watch low-budget indie movies. I'm a bit more open to big time A-list productions now than I was 5-years ago.

I owned that movie and still haven't seen it, lol. For a while I went on a massive movie buying spree, only to get robbed some time after (left the door unlocked, naive) and lost almost all of them, including Schindler's List. 🤷‍♂️

Did the same thing up until a few years ago. Really didn't care for them at all. Then someone I lived with owned all of them and I decided to F it, and just watch them all. They were pretty great movies, very original. They're not as nerdy as I thought, lol. The original trilogy still holds up very well.

Would recommend checking them out some time, you might like them.
