Their is no denying that Rockstar Games has a great love for music, and have often had amazing songs in their games, and showed love and appreciation for various, diverse genres. If you look at the stations of GTA V you have

- Modern Rap
- Funk music
- 80s/90s west coast rap
-Country Music
-Classic Rock
-Soul Music
-Regge/Dancehall
-R and B/Pop music
- Latin Music
-Chillwave/Jazz-Funk
- Punk Rock
-Indietronica
-Modern Rock
-Techno/House
and much more

Hell even GTA 4 had a station that played Eastern European music

If i would have to think of one genre Rockstar has kind of underrepresented in GTA would have to be Heavy Metal possibly?

what do you think?

Metal I guess. Since it's not on your list
Yeah, definitely metal and its subgenres/adjacent subgenres.

I wouldn't be surprised if this GTA brings in various metalcore and hardcore acts as they've become pretty hot over the last couple of years because of TikTok. Bands like Knocked Loose, Turnstile, Scowl, etc.

Metal.
the most we got is some very mainstream stuff in Vice City. but in San Andreas there was less, and then in 4 and 5 it was almost gone as a genre.

I would love an actual metal radio station with some song picks that aren't just nostalgic Iron Maiden or Hair Metal songs.
best case would be a radio station specifically focused on modern European Metal like Blind Guardian, Sleep Token, Sabaton, Jinjer, Orden Ogan, Dimmu Borgir, Wintersun, Cypecore... stuff like that. I bet it would also be cheaper than just licensing another Iron Maiden song, or another big mainstream hit from 20 years ago. and since Rockstar seems to be unfathomably stingy when it comes to renewing licenses, that would also be in their interest.

Synthwave and Ambient Electronica station.

They had some decent tracks in GTA3-SA but every since then there radio stations have been seriously lacking.

Christian rap, Christian rock, Christian rap/rock, I mean, I could go on forever. I'm a career criminal but I believe in god and I want to reinforce my beliefs with good christian music as I run over people.

Any combination of progressive + <include metal sub-genre>, essentially. Would be dope to hear Opeth, Tool, Death or Deafheaven on a GTA radio station. They have a lot of stereotypes to play with for writing the host dialog.

they should do one of those evangelical nutcase radio stations and just have them blurt out all the mental insane shit they do only no need to parody it, just read it out verbatim

Techno. The "Techno" on OP's list has been misidentified as a genre over the years, specifically in the United States.

When People hear the word "Techno", they think it's Eurodance/DDR when it isn't. Here's an example of something within the Techno genre:

But anyway, I'd like to see more electronic genres like Bass/Tech House and Trance get into the mix. Having Solomun was a good first step for some of the electronic music in GTA V.

Metal. Considering the budget and masses of popular music these games have, they never really embraced mainstream metal bands let alone dug deeper. There's always been a mix of hardcore/punk stuff and that's as close as it gets.
