make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
Random question. Can you recommend me new anime to watch on Crunchyroll? I remember you recommended me Dan Da Dan months ago, watched it all waiting for the next content
I'm not a huge anime fan but I liked Dan Da Dan quite a lot. Recently watched Frieren (English dub, honestly really prefer it in this case, but I get that's controversial for some) anyway absolutely loved that show, one of my favorite things now. Not a terribly original suggestion as many consider it the top tier, but if you hadn't heard about Dan Da Dan, maybe this one got by you too. Also, it's on Netflix as well as CR. If you already watched it... well please ignore me lol.

Grid-based movement, turn-based dungeon crawling. I like the thrill of not knowing whether your next step will wipe out your entire party forcing you to start from scratch again. Also, being able to just stop playing anytime as the game is always waiting for your next input before acting. It's like a huge chess game.

Is the Fang in Limgrave, where that dragon-boss is? I think it was you who recommended me the weapon. Do I get it right, the main quest is to beat the Castle? You level up in the map and then slowly beat the main bosses in the Castle
It’s in Limgrave yeah, no dragon boss you can get it fairly early by getting on with Blaidd’s questline, the wolf-man howling high up on a ruin in the forrest Mistwoods.

Yeah go toward the castle for the main quest. But there is no rush, I never even bother with Margit, the boss before the castle, until I’m past level 20 even though I’ve played it a ton, can be a frustrating battle at lower levels and the castle afterwards have some difficult enemies too.

Right now it's Batman Arkham Shadow's combat: When you juggle between your abilities, gadgets, punching, dodging, countering, and then you Perfect Flow a challenge map, you feel like you just pulled off some amazing action movie choreography. Incredibly fun stuff. First days it let me sore in a few minutes but now I can play until the battery runs out like a champ.

All time favorite 2D genre : Metroidvania
All time favorite 3D genre : Immersive sims

I like diversity though. I rarely play the same genre back to back. I insert something short after a long ass RPG for example. A retro shooter after a eye melting graphical showcase, etc.

Half Life: Alyx. The next revelatory experience since I started my first video game in the NES. Games are still stuck with a controller design based on the PlayStation and it’s clear after 4 generations after, there’s only so much they can do for “gameplay”.

Favorites can change quickly. I think I'm in the last chapter in RE4 Remake and gameplay there in this day, today is now my favorite gameplay in gaming.

What it is for you, now?
I was actually going to say RE4make coming into the thread. Glad it's in the OP. I haven't had that much fun in a game since MGSV.

It's Splatoon. I'm not that big of a fan of the esthetics or the world but Splatoon's gameplay to me is quintessential Nintendo and what I love in videogames. It's both extremely easy to grasp and simplistic on a surface level but with an insane level of depth once you start really getting into it. It manages to cram countless actions that are their own separate mechanics in other shooters (reloading, healing, running, wall climbing, stealth, area control, damaging and debuffing enemies, XP gain) into a single loop: shooting ink, turning into a squid, which gives the game a unique feeling of coherence. The feedback is phenomenal which means that simple basic movement is satisfying in itself and the core mechanics are so versatile they can be used for a ton of different gameplay styles and scenarios. Finally the implementation of gyro aiming adds another layer of skill and a fluidity (no pun intended) to the controls that elevate Splatoon over every other game in terms of pure interactivity.

I don't play multiplayer games but if I ever do, I would be playing games like Splatoon and Sea of Thieves. Those two games are the only games in the multiplayer space that I find to be extremely unique and memorable. Not to mention fun. I wish Nintendo would make more new IPs. Splatoon is a good example of a new IP of theirs that still has memorable character design, fantastic art style and addicting gameplay
