I tell my buddies (all console players) to join PC. They laugh at me because their console works and requires no effort.
And it lasts- some are still on PS4s playing the latest COD.
They are used to console and with dwindling time to play, changing platform to one that is a bit more finicky is not attractive in the slightest.

OP, whats your PC equivalant to this?
I mean it will launch a year later, with better graphics and performance for sure.
I already bought a PS5 for it.

Not necessarily. Digitally, yes. But physical games allow for renting and resell which can make console gaming cheaper.

So far you can still get many games on physical media for the PS5, that's a huge advantage for sure.
But yeah, without PS5 exclusives (specifically the ones developed and optimized with all resources poured into one single version) it's pretty much pointless buying the console anymore for me personally.
I know this is a low-effort troll thread, but anyway.

It has like 4 exclusive games that aren’t (yet) planned for release on PC. You can barely even call yourself a gamer if you don’t own a PS5.

In the long run absolutely. The biggest barrier for most people though is the significant upfront cost for a decent rig+peripherals. Even if you can build a half decent rig for <$1000, a monitor+kbm and maybe even a desk+chair is gonna swell that already high (for alot of people) price even more.

Ok, 1&2 are valid points. 3 is lol, Astrobot would be much better pick. 4 can be taken care of with Apple TV, Google Streamer box, etc.1. Unicorn Overlord and other Vanillaware games
2. Gran Turismo 7
3. Star Ocean 5
4. Being able to stream movie rentals in 4K from streaming sites (they don't allow this on PC because they fear piracy I guess?)
These are why I keep my PS5 around. I'm hoping the Switch 2 takes care of #4 though, and it would also be nice if the Switch 2 got 4K ports of Vanillaware's games.
Personally though Sony games have lost their shine to me. Every single sequel of theirs disappointed compare to previous games (for me) aside from GT. With the Pro drive fiasco on top, and nothing interesting (again for me) on Sony’s horizon I don’t see buying future Sony hardware (including the Pro), at least for now.
Things may change, nobody can predict the future of course. But I do understand the draw of a straightforward solution like a console where you don’t have to mess around much with settings.
Exactly, there will be no equivalant at launch, as it's console exclusive.
As a gamer given the choice I much prefer to have the best games first over having the best tech available.

PS owner. I partially agree with OP. Stellar Blade also coming to PC this year and I've been waiting because, well, mods and much better visuals. 
Astro Bot will no doubt hit PC this year as well or early next.
If you own a good gaming PC - no point to have a PS if you're patient gamer/a weak point to have a PS if you're impatient(Im here)

Some don’t want to be years behind on some great games. Astrobot, stellar blade and rise of the ronin this last year alone is worth having a PlayStation imo.

While many of the games do eventually come to PC, how can you possibly contain yourself and have to wait for a PC port to play as this totally awesome character?
