I hope that I'm not the only one who was really caught by surprise when the PlayStation Plus section of the State of Play suddenly focused on the original trio of PS1 Armored Core games coming to Classics Catalog. All in all, though, it wasn't really something to think much about, or so I said until today when the new levels for Astro Bot were announced and the final one is called like this...

What does this mean, GAF? Is Armored Core, an IP that Sony does not own, more important to them than Bloodborne our beloved?

Could be a coincidence or maybe it's about Sony pushing for additional market penetration of Kadokawa/FromSoftware IP.

I could see Sony pushing for an Armored Core animated series ala Gundam and as I've said before, it's only a matter of time until Sony buys the rest of Kadokawa.

Yeah Sony is working some shit behind the scenes and it involves From and Kadokawa. We can't see it but we can smell that shit. They also did a takedown of the BB 60fps patch iirc, so they are cooking something up to make up for Concord. They are about to throw us a bone.

A new game in the series was released, so semi-capitalizing on that I'd imagine. But it's good, the old AC games are cool.

They didn't say it was, did they? It's advertised for PS Plus, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to buy it.
