Whoa...Xbox 360 showcasing Indie games on the main hub?

Very cool of MS to do this. I know the lack of vis/discoverability has been a long-standing point of contention for many devs who decided to use XNA and/or released on 360.
 
Yep, about time too.
Check out Gateways, its pretty great.

I like that the indie games marketplace is a return to the $5 arcade games era when the 360 first launched with Geometry Wars
 
That's awesome. It would be nice if an indie panel stayed like that for good, even if it was one of the smaller panels.

Glad to see the indie page getting some love. There were a ton of new people playing Avatar Laser Wars 2 tonight!

Slow clap. But yeah, it's nice to see them give some of the content space to the indies. I hope it becomes a regular thing.
 
I had forgotten about the Indie community on the 360 until last week. I am amazed at the quality of some of the games on there.

I have a blast playing laser wars 2 (outside of the connectivity issues) on a regular basis now. :)
 
That's great, and a lot of indie games are fun, but MS has made me into a cheevo addict. If I play a game without them I feel like I'm not accomplishing anything.
 
Xbox Live doesn't let you access the independant games here in Norway. I'd really like to try out some of the games, but no go.

Create a new live account, set region to some country where they are available, buy corresponding MS points, load them up, buy stuff.
 
Anyone who hasn't spent the $1 on I Made A Game With Zombies In It is doing themselves a disservice.

I like Breath of Death 7 and there was this cool like uh... Puzzle horror first person kind of point and click game on there, I beat part 1 of it years ago and can no longer remember the name. Anyone know what I'm talking about and knows if pt 2 came out?
 
Damn, they got the games wrong. Diehard Dungeon is one of the Uprising games, not Avatar Laser Wars...that dev must be beyond pissed...and not only did they mess that up, but why put ALW instead of ALW2? ...Anybody know how long this promotion lasted?
