The official launch of Ataris Driv3r on PS2 and Xbox has helped lift total market software sales, with units up 25 per cent (743,140) and value up 35 per cent (£17.32m).
The Sony and Xbox formats both benefited, with PS2 software units up 33 per cent and value up 43 per cent (£7.88m). PC remained the second highest selling format, up 14 per cent by units and 15 per cent by value (£4.52m), while Xbox sales reached their highest full price sales week since the beginning of the year
The remaining formats only made up 13.8 per cent of all software sales, with GBA software up 24 per cent by units and 30 per cent by value (£0.96m), followed by Gamecube software which was up by one per cent by both units and value (£0.78m). PSOne software sales were up 26 per cent by units and 19 per cent by value (£0.24m).
