Already been done (Maximum Overdrive)
Yeah this looks bad to me, the electronics attacking them are done so poorly.Decent concept but looks like complete shit.
Same, was 19 at the turn of the millenium ...... I was off my face on E so I only remember a shit load of fireworks going off and how cool they looked!I've lived long enough to see my childhood get turned into a retro horror setting. Nice.
We just had a big party ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Dude the build up to this back in the day was fucking amazing. I was a freshman in college and watching people all panicky at the grocery store and buying up shit like the Fallout Apocalypse was imminent was hilarious.
But still an unhealthy obese young guy. You'd think he would try to lose weight. I wonder if, like a lot of fat guys (and some girls), the weight is what defines him so he is reluctant to lose it and suddenly become "just another face" in Hollywood.I think the key thing to be taking from this trailer is that the dude who played Belsnickel in the Christmas Chronicles 2 looks young now than he did 5 years ago.

Haven't watched the trailer. The bolded bit might be the alpha and omega of the reason. It weird how films from the 2000's gets 4k release and look like they was shot yesterday and still have that 2000's look and are fantastic looking films, yet this still looks like present day cinematography set in present day at some Y2K Themed Gen Z party.
Same here and I was in tech lol. Luckily, I wasn't in IT at that time but we tested around time scenarios so it was more of like, if it happens oh well, if it doesn't oh well.We just had a big party ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Movie was trash, aside from Alicia Silverstone looking hot as "the mom".hmmm...might still give this a go tonight

Was watching a video talking about why it's near impossible to watch a modern film on an old small TV. Older films were shot in a way that could be understood in a 4:3 aspect ratio and standard definition. Even if it was filmed wide screen, it still looked fine cropped on pan and scan.
Now they throw more stuff going on that can be seen in detail on high resolution widescreen so it has become harder to follow what's going on. Right or wrong, I'll let that be my takeaway of the difference between then and now.
As for the Y2K themed party, I guess those in the makings are trying to bring too much of themselves to the table.
You should watch this, hit's the nail right in the head
