New LEGO Batman Game Incoming?

Hmm. Maybe getting something together for Batman v Superman? Though they usually announce these Lego games less than a year before release, so maybe it's just another general DC mashup.

That's essentially what LEGO Batman 2 was

Why it had to be called LEGO Batman
*Shrugs*

Because Batman has better brand awareness than all of DC Comics.
Unlike Marvel, which has established itself as greater than any one character.

yes, it nets them titles that are critical and financial successes.

Are you planning on saying something stupid like Arkham City was a bad game or there are too many batman games

I just think they should try branching out more. They have an incredibly deep roster of IPs and while Batman is the easiest and quickest way to cash in, they need to diversity their line up more if they want longevity. It seems to be the same issue WB proper has as well.

I certainly don't think that's stupid.

Needs LEGO Ghostbusters already.

On the other hand, totally down for another LEGO Batman game. LEGO Marvel was good but it somehow did not feel as fun as LEGO Batman 2 (even though it had wayyyy better flying controls etc.).

Lets hope whatever is coming they go back to offering online coop.

Sad that lego games have regressed since the better star wars versions.

A new one is expected this year. Some even saying that it might be a Lego DC/Marvel crossover; as the latest Lego superheroes games already had hundreds of characters and were open world (Batman 2 in Gotham City, Marvel in NY).

We'll see.

Those few tweets...they tend to represent more his Lego Movie interpretation, don't they?

Doctor Who is too niche? Maybe 10 years ago, but not anymore...

At least here in the UK, anyway.

No one watches it here in germany, atleast no one I know of. It's not even available in free TV, you have to pay for Sky to watch it.

Yeah his uk popularity is way higher than here in the us. There are fans, but not a ton. Not as a nay as batman or Harry potter. And a lot of them probably don't play video games.

A recent episode got 3.6million viewers in the US. It's not Harry Potter levels of huge but It does really well.

It also has a primarily family appeal much like the Lego titles.

Lego Game of Thrones will probably be one of the next games.
Right?

Although I guess this is not really family-oriented

Do any of you know if there's a Lego game where the pips/thingies doesn't respawn when you get back into the game? I bought Lego-LoTR during a sale once, my first and only lego game, and I had fun for 2 hours collecting everything. I like being a completionist with things like that. But when I reloaded the game the next day, everything was back in the world. Which made the whole game feel almost pointless to me. And I stopped playing.

I think only gold and red bricks never respawn. Hostages/civilians saved also stay saved. But currency and small pieces like pips come back. You need to use them for purchases sometimes I think. In an open world game, finding a set amount would be ridiculous.

There are plenty of things to complete...but pips aren't one of the things they want you to collect all of.
