Absolutely love the Yharnam city stages that had already been shown but was concerned that there wouldn't be a great deal of variety of locations but having watched the Gamespot review there seems to be a lot of variety there.

So is this game more around 22 hours or 40+?

And framerate isnt too bad is it? Any word on if it's getting patched like the load times?

I was also curious about the level variety since we've only been shown one place, but I'm going in blind.

Yeah, that time is more in line with the Souls games for me. In other words, he took his time, explored and probably died a lot. The main game, plus the Chalice Dungeon makes this a meaty package indeed.

It depends, my friend who reviewed it is a huge veteran and didn't have a whole lot of trouble with some bosses that gave other reviewers a bit of pause. He finished the game in around 22 hours the first time and 16 the second time.

THAT BEING SAID, as he even admits in the review, there's tons of content out there that he most likely missed. There's so much hidden content, it's ridiculous. He couldn't even find a covenant on the first go around.

Metacritic really has it's claws on the average consumer, doesn't it?

From what I've seen, there's a pretty strong correlation, but it's even bigger than that. This is the first AAA title critically regarded as amazing for the XB1 and PS4 that isn't a remaster. I can see this shocking a lot of people sales-wise.

Signs point to 40+
I've read more about people finishing it in 40, 50 or even 60 hours than something low as 22 (which I never did)

think they can fix load times with patch?

Someone had alink in the other thread that was an update from From and they said they were talking about a patch to improve load times. I;d link it but there are about 42 Bloodborne threads in the graveyard.

EDIT:changed performance to load times.

I was just thinking about this. Should be interesting to see how all that works tonight/tomorrow.

Well some of the reviewers said they had access to the press online to test those mechanics. So some of these reviews do include the online portion of it.

Where is chad warden?

This will surely become ps quadruple exclusive going forwards.

Question, technically isn't the waste of skin class the best since it allows you to level up straight from level 1 so you don't have to worry about increased costs that escalate for every level you go up since you're starting at level 1?

See my post from the last page.

Kleppek is loving it and I found this bit interesting about the load times: "How are the load times right now? Too long, but the developers are working on a patch."

Was personally hoping they were working on a patch, but nice to see it confirmed here.

Hopefully they get it up soon and it helps out because it honestly sounds like that could be the only thing keeping this game from a 10 on many sites.

Most reviews are clocking in at 40+. Guaranteed that reviewer didn't do all of the optional content.

Framerate is the best a souls game has ever been on a console.

No idea about variety.

Based on consensus from ther reviews. Closer to 40 hours than 20, but it really is a case by case basis.

I for example, will probably take upwards of 60 hours.

My review of Bloodborne is currently in progress for GameSided.

I haven't had the chance to read others' reviews yet. Did anyone else mention that we had to register a connection to Sony servers? I feel it's a big disservice to the fans that scores aren't held back until public servers are live. I had no invasions and just one co-op partner.

"From what you can gather?" That line is what my grandpa says when he's trying to figure out them darn vidyagaems.

Do you write for a site who's audience is grandpas lol?
