Pretty awesome to see. Miyazaki and team must feel great about this response.

As someone who's been playing FROM Software games since the mid-90s, it's great seeing them finally succeed on a global scale and I'm glad they've been able to consistently deliver since then. It feels like the company has been trying relentlessly for decades and they finally hit it big with Demon's and Dark Souls.

I came in to Otogi and I've played various games (Chromehounds, Demons, Dark, Eternal Ring etc.) and couldn't be happier although I'm not buying it yet due to school stuff.

So that the world might be mended!

Ihave no interest in this game as dark souls etc just has no appeal to me , but it's excellent to see a AAA game finally live upto it's expectations .

Great reviews. The only thing that, well, I would've liked to see otherwise, is that it seems to be the shortest Souls game of the bunch. I'm not one for replaying a whole lot on NG+, but let's see how I will this installment.

I hope I get my copy today.

Even though the Souls games are not my thing, I'm extremely chuffed to see the PS4 finally release it's killer title (judging by all the scores)

Well done FS / Sony

According to an Edge editor there is a ton of added gameplay in the Chalice dungeons.

Nah, he's one of the few that doesn't dig into the hype. Easily seen by the fact that they take their time before they pump off their reviews - especially Jörg. That's why I trust his reviews.

Except the MGS4 review that is. But I bet he's regretting that one to this day. :p
Sorry to use the quote again but they dont get any review copies anymore because many publishers broke with them after they started their troll run. They buy most of the games from retail that is why it took them so long to publish their reviews. And they are commercial driven by online so clicks are the reason they still exist. Thats why this clickbait stance was established and works for them. Still the content and value they deliver is simply poor once you look past the business model and how desperatly they try to nitpick and punish something even for the most absurd and ridiculous reasons.

No way average mc is staying this high, I'm expecting 87-90 now, which is higher from my expectation of 85ish

The more reviews it has, the less likely the average score is to change.

It's at 93 now with 35 reviews. It's almost impossible for it to change more than 1 or 2 points in either direction now.

the 0 ratings of salty players have started.

Here we have an obvious purchaser who has managed to return an opened game. Luckily they had their receipt.

hotshyt from Metacritic said:
Glad i bought it at a store kept my receipt it looked good but the frame drops and the fighting engine is from ps1 days so in the am back to the store i go!

I trust this reviewer for it's the first time they decided to review a game.

I'm definitely going there, and I've also heard its a bit more difficult which makes leveling up your stats viable still. I don't know how many of those dungeons I'll complete, because they need to have some sort of reward. It will probably give some good rewards but players still have to find out the right combinations to making the right dungeons.

The fact that they made co-op with friends a bit easier also lengthens the game a bit for me IMO. Solo the first try. Co-op on NG+.

I'm happy not because I give a flying fuck regarding some arbitrary review scores. But because I know that Miyazaki and team must be pretty pleased with the reception this baby is getting. Cannot freaking wait to sink in hours upon hours on this bloody game. UMBASAAA!

Slowly getting interested in this, so will read some reviews when I get a chance. Hardline seems like it will hold my attention now though. We'll see.

Loving the message in the OP though, I was scared off previous review threads.

Won't go lower than 91 but pretty sure it will stick around 93.

No idea why you would lowball your estimation of a fromsoft game but your second estimation is even weirder.

Nice to see such good scores, I'm torn on this I want to buy it but with so much time spent in World of Warcraft I'm not sure I can invest the time enough to play it well enough, then again I could buy it and add it to my large growing backlog of other titles, ah choices. Oh damn it I'm going to buy it and play it when it arrives looks too good to ignore.

A few publishers have broken with them, yes. But I don't think it's that many considering that they do publish the reviews rather fast. And I fail to understand how they are more clickdriven than other sites.

That being said, I can't remember a single review where the score was more or less not justified in the end. Remember being outraged at their rather low MGS3 score back in the days but in the end had to agree to myself that they were right because the camera did sucks ass and made a huge impact on the overall gameplay.

I can't shake the feeling that you are a bit salty when it comes to 4players for some reason.

I'm waiting for Polygon to drop the average below 90.

Seriously though they'll prob score this high as they like to not go 100% with their bias all the time.

Metro Gamecentral gave it 9/10

http://metro.co.uk/2015/03/24/bloodborne-review-prepare-to-bleed-5117637/

In Short: One of the best action games of the generation and a stunning achievement in terms of gameplay, art design, and encouraging players to push themselves beyond their limits.

Pros: Superb combat system is elegantly simple and hugely versatile. Amazing world design and wonderfully disgusting enemies. Great online features and role-playing elements.

Cons: Long load times can be hugely frustrating. Some minor frame rate problems, and the Chalice Dungeons need some tweaking and bug-fixing.

Score: 9/10

First game that really starts to make me think about getting a PS4.

It's about as long as the Souls games.

Congratulations From Software, the MC score it has now crushed all my expectations. I knew it would score well but 93 is ridiculous, I think it will stay at 92 when all is said and done.

I don't really want to know, considering we're at over 30 bans when the majority of the reviews are 9 or higher.
Wow I've got some catching up to do...

What in the flying fakk hahah. o_O
Gut feeling says a bunch of them were alt-accounts to begin with but still...people are too invested in review scores I feel.

Has anyone checked if the patch and/or playing the game offline reduces the load time?

I've been playing offline since Friday and hopped online when the servers turned on at about 6 hours ago. Can't say the load times have changed at all.

Patch was love when I first started it and there hasn't been another update since.

I'm not a fan of Dark Souls games but mainly because of the art style, and never got a chance to try Demon's Souls.
It's cool to see Bloodborne living up to expectations, I love the art style and will pick it up one day.
I'm just worried that the horror stuff might be too scary for me...
