Lack of content isn't an issue when you have a lack of time. I'm asking more if the game is balanced enough that I'm not facing a SFIV situation where only a few characters are viable for online play.

I was extremely busy. The holidays are awful for me between work, family and trying to use what vacation time I can. It took me a month and a half to beat until dawn. I wish I had as much time to play as I use to but it's not feasible. Sorry.

It's very balanced. But if you don't have the matchup knowledge on what to do when it might be tough

Will someone please go eat a sandwich.

Two buttons of the same type, like two punches and two kicks instead of one.

Also , are you using a controller? Often in fighting games, there are buttons that have multiple kicks and punches mapped to the left bumber and trigger.

Mhmm. I'm playing on controller. So... A EX Hadoken is just like the regular motion of doing a Hadoken EXCEPT you press the second punch button really fast?

Same motion but you just press 2 punch buttons at the same time instead of one. You can also use the L1 button which is mapped to three punch buttons though I wouldn't recommend it.

Dude, pretty much everyone was viable in that game. It sounds like you are too ready to outsource the blame for your defeats...

you press two punch buttons at the same time

this seems less obvious because this came from the legacy of supers being double motion and pressing all of the buttons. and then ex moves were added later to street fighter as a way to utilize meter in smaller amounts.

It's hard to tell at day -5 about overall balance...

But for what it's worth, a lot of people think the game doesn't really have any worthless characters at this early point.

Some argue about the BEST characters, but everyone seems like they can win if you know how to use them.

Do we have a list of what's all available at launch and what's coming in March?

Also, anyway to earn Fight Money via local multiplayer or is it story mode and ranked match only?

So now that I know that GS doesn't have the season pass for half off and isn't having a midnight launch, I'm really torn on whether I should go digital or physical.

Digital will obviously be more convenient and I would get to play faster (the closest 24 Wal-Mart is like 30 minutes away), and I get that Chun outfit. But I just really like having the physical disc for games that I really love.

I need to get a bigger PS4 hardrive dammit. Shit's always full now.

Thanks for explaining EX moves to me, you guys. I really appreciate it. I'm gonna spend so much time in training mode before I even consider stepping to online. Lol.

Capcom has big plans for Capcom Pro Tour it had to lunch now.
It was rushed out for the competitive scene. That much should be obvious.
No. The competitive scene and especially Capcom Pro Tour only cover a tiny part of the Millions of players who buy Street Fighter.

I see having more stuff releasing later as more things to sell DLC, more opportunities to appear in the gaming news, which means extra free marketing and more reasons for players to keep engaged/come back to the game months after launch.

This is why I didn't play beta. I've only played a few hours of SF4 with friends casually. Was too scared to go online.

You could always do both haha.

Don't feel scared to go online! Just go online to get some experience. I'm not rushing to online because my knowledge on even executing moves is incredibly small. All I know is the super basic of doing a Hadoken and a throw. I don't wanna go online doing the same few moves over and over. Hopefully the training mode is pretty in depth and helps newcomers alot.

Should be Sunday I think. Not that big of a download, PSN page says 6.4GB.

Thanks. I'm expecting a day one update though. Maybe 10 GB total?

Also. Having preordered from PS Store, I'll get sexy ChunLi costume. I really wanted Hot Ryu costume... anyone have an idea it will be unlockable ingame too, or hell, can I just buy it with real money from day 1?

It'll most likely be unlockable a few months after release.

Maybe exclusively purchasable but still.

The wait for Tuesday is killing me as I keep seeing people on Twitter have this game already :(. Also hopefully they show an Alex trailer sooner or later, I wanna see some POWAH BOMBS.

Dont know if it has already been said but if anyone is interested SFV installed on my PS4 hdd is 23.14GB. This is with patch 1.01 as well. Didn't catch how big it was as I put the disc in and came back after 30 mins or so to check on it and it completed already.

Damn. That must be a big ass patch. The PS Store says the game itself is like 8 gigs.

Really with the PS Store would account for patches, but I guess it would be difficult to do.

I'm getting the game physically as well... so... 23.14GB is what we have to face on launch day? Greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttt...

I have 300/50 Internet and am hardwired so it went by fast. If anyone is interested I can delete it and reinstall to get actual size of patch 1.01.

The competitive scene also are heavily involved in streams which are gaining momentum in terms of views and V is Capcom's big push for "E-sports" gold. Hence, it's being released bare bones for the competitive scene.

i think the 8GB is minimum amount required for the game to run. you can start ps4 games before the whole game is complete

Went ahead and deleted game off hdd to see patch size. Patch 1.01 is 5.997GB.

There may be a possibility of another one on launch day but who knows. Just a heads up for you guys getting on PS4.

I told myself I'd refrain from spoilers, but... Bah. I'll do that for the cinematic story. The art's looking weak, but these character sightings have me hype for what's to come! I mean, it doesn't seem like Dudley, Haggar, or Elena are coming any time soon, but if it means we get fighters like
Azam
, I'm in.

It's also pretty cool to see that
Cammy's apparently gynosexual, that Oro's actually a presence again, and that Sean's new design is good! Also, is it just me, or does Ed look like Eisbahn? Like, this isn't a joke this time; I genuinely think Ed is Eisbahn and will be added in a future season
. Gah. I'm already excited for DLC characters and I don't even have the base game!

Oh thats what I meant. I'm going to practice first.

They did the same thing for Yun & Yang for SSFIV:AE. If anything, this may mean that Oro could be in Wave 2.

Things could have changed, also, I didn't care for the voices of Yun/Yang and prefer the English voices for both.

I would hope so, but if it doesn't happen.. I know it'll happen eventually.
