That's what I'm saying. Being badgered and such constantly on various forms of social media that attempt to discredit you, say you talk out of your ass, and whatnot becomes tiring. People are frustrated with the lack of NX information and redirected their frustration with Nintendo towards her - or that is how it seems to me. I'd tell my critics to fuck off if I were getting Tweets and threads loaded with "Don't know shit..." or "lol you are wrong..." or other sexist garbage. The gaming community can be a great thing, but it has a dark, toxic side to it that is a fucking embarrassment and it showed itself last night and earlier today.

As I said on Twitter earlier today, I expect something to come this week and will be legit surprised if nothing happens.

This is exactly one I've been saying, too. As a PCer a PS4/Xbone Skyrim remaster is completely superfluous, but a version I could easily play at home or on the go remains an interesting prospect. Big open world games have become some of my favorites in recent years, and are sorely lacking in portables.

I've tried a bit of home-and-go with a Win10 tablet and Fallout New Vegas, but between needing to take a separate controller and needing to transfer the save file back and forth each time, it's usually more hassle than its worth.

My prediction is - Thursday announcement of reveal date with teaser video

Tuesday next week reveal

Since the investors meeting will be late Night Tuesday in the US, early morning Wen. in Japan, that gives Nintendo the chance to talk about the NX to investors, give them the name and other details without it having to all be tweeted out by people following the investors meeting before its over, having the NX information out before the meeting makes way too much sense.

It has to be NX if it's suppose to get something that reveal what it is this or next week. Blizzard is being dumb with the whole sombra thing now and she'll most likely be revealed at a Blizzcon during a "hijacking".

Also if Emily is triple downing then I hope she's right, not for the sake of the NX news but how she will be treated after if nothing comes up.

The NX subreddit has a loud minority deeply invested in SMDs "rumors" so anything Emily Rogers related gets them incredibly angry and defensive. Also, it is reddit after all.

Yeah I agree with that. The reveal could also wind up being next Thursday, and Nintendo essentially tells their investors to wait until the reveal event for more info about their Q4 and beyond plans.

Note that they're talking about a singular four-die HBM stack. Assuming we're talking about HBM2 (there's not really any way it could be anything else) this means it's a 4GB stack with bandwidth around 200-256GB/s. This means it's not a GPU, as it's neither enough bandwidth nor capacity for high-end cards, and it's going to be too expensive for more entry-level cards (where 200GB/s can be easily achieved with much cheaper GDDR5).

That leaves SoCs. Xavier is obviously the most likely candidate, although even that would be a bit of a surprise. Not just the bandwidth (I honestly have no idea what kind of bandwidth deep learning requires), but that I'd be surprised that they would be so heavily power constrained as to avoid GDDR5(/X), which could also give them much more capacity for their money.

The other option is NX. HBM2 would, of course, be absolutely insane overkill for a handheld. There's no way Nintendo would next more bandwidth than PS4 Pro, with a system perhaps a tenth as powerful and a vastly more bandwidth efficient GPU architecture. And yet, from Gamecube/Wii's 1T-SRAM to 3DS's FCRAM and ample SRAM, to Wii U's big eDRAM pool, Nintendo clearly loves expensive specialist RAM which is tightly coupled to the CPU and GPU. I would also expect HBM2 to consume a bit too much power for a mobile application, but we're only talking about a single stack, and I suppose it's possible that they could be clocking it down to 100-150GB/s to sit at a more comfortable point in the power curve. Lastly is obviously the expense, but only using a single die and InFO (which avoids the need for a silicon substrate) might just potentially pull this down to less than catastrophic level.

If I were a betting man I'd certainly put my money on Xavier being the chip they're talking about, and Nintendo going with a more typical LPDDR4 solution perhaps with a decent sized shared L3 cache. That said, it would be the first Nintendo device in a long time to go with the "typical solution" for RAM.

I still don't think that ignoring someone helps at all, at least not when that person is popular enough to recieve a lot of attention. Sure. But two things. First, the stakes of a presidential campaign are much, much higher than setting the record straight on a internet user that makes video game predictions. Secondly, again, my issue is not that one needs to completely bite their tongue if they see a questionable source being hoisted up as unassailable, but that I think there's a point where criticism stops being constructive and starts just adding more attention. Also, people tend to overplay their hand when discussing her. She's had info before that has been correct. I'm not saying that this has happened all or even most of the time, but overreaching about how she's the most awful pundit who has never been right about anything just invites others to defend her record on the things that she's gotten right.

The 2015 Zelda delay was announced at 6 PM EST on a Friday, so I guess that's the absolute latest.

But if there's nothing by 10AM EST/4PM CET that day, you can be pretty sure it's not happening.

She said she'd make it public for a few weeks because she knows the reveal is soon and she wants to share what she knows with everyone. She said she'll go private again in a few weeks.

A confirmation that the codename is NX and it's coming in March 2017? Because that's pretty much all the official info we have until now.
