iOS 10 is still really buggy months later.

Another issue I noticed today, sometimes the Siri app suggestions just seems to hang or freeze or something because no matter how much I touch the icons, no apps will open.

Read through most of these replies and the majority of issues are on the native Apple apps.

I noticed some issues myself (touch nonresponsive - forced to lock and unlock) but I guess i spared myself from all the other issues because I use 3rd party apps for main services.

Apple has fallen far from their peak with their software offerings on all fronts. Its almost always better to use Google Maps instead of apple's, spotify instead of music, whatsapp instead of imessage, etc.

Dedicated developer's solve problems faster and add more features constantly instead of the ones tied up on unification across Apple. That process needs to change.

Another problem could be because of the new file system they are using. That'll be worked out eventually, but they really need to separate and work on their own pace instead of doing yearly releases that coincides with hardware.

I have a 6S and for the first time in 3 years that I've owned an iPhone (started with a 5c that I loved), I've had apps freezing/stuttering and Siri being unresponsive/crashing. Pretty big disappointment since the reason why I switched to iPhone in the first place was because I was fed up with the constant crashes on Android.

Thankfully the issues have stabilized (for now) but with the lack of innovation and compelling features, an Android flagship is starting to look more and more attractive these days.

I find Apple Maps much better than Google at this point, and that's not even starting on Google's complete disinterest in making their apps look and act like iOS apps. The iOS 10 version of Maps redid the UI and it's really great to use. Very easy to glance at information now. I use first-party apps for most of my main tasks and really have nothing bad to say about them. Mail isn't great, but it works. Notes got a redesign in iOS 10 and I really like it, especially for being free. Being able to do sketches with the Pencil and attach them to Notes has become a daily occurrence for me. I'm not a big fan of the new silly iMessage features, but it still functions for me. And I'll take the privacy protection of iMessage any day over a third-party messaging service.

To your last point, no, Apple isn't using a new filesystem yet; they only offered it as a beta in Sierra. The FS will probably be used next year.
