New match with MikeD vs Ranmasama at pax. Strider/Strange vs Haggar/Dorm

Dr Strange looks so sick in this.

Edit: Looks like Steve uploaded several more

Yassss Ranmasama doing lariat, tag, combo just like I knew you could. Haggar definitely a point character in this.

Spencer's bionic arm still magically stays on the same side in this, huh. You'd think they could've done the animations for that.

Zero seems even better than he was before, lightning loops aside (do we even know if they can be done in this game?).

Meanwhile, Haggar gets a barrel, and Arthur doesn't completely leave himself open to a combo once his almost necessary power up runs out. Great.

I'm worried about some of these guys. On one hand the tag system could benefit them in cool ways, on the other hand it may bury them even further.

I've said since the game was announced no assists are gonna greatly effect certain characters. Haggar was terrible in a game where he had assists to close the gap. How the hell do they expect him to compete now? Lmao.

Meanwhile u have characters like Spencer who has free bionic arms 50/50 at any time of the game. Or characters like Dante that will grant literally 4 different mixups for the cost of one bar.

Free tag system is good when u build characters around it. Not port characters made from the ground up for a different system. Jedah and X showcases this.

I fully expect the tier gap to be alive and well in this game(which is standard for vs titles)

Probably with gems and the fact there aren't assists to keep him out.

This isn't mvc3. So many people taking that paradigm into this game.

What does gems matter to a character that doesn't have viable tools? It's not like your opponent wont also have a gem attached to a much better character.

What's funny is for all of the sheer bullshit X6 had, Sigma was a fucking chump in that game. Had no issue taking him down whatsoever. He was much tougher in X4/X5. Professor Gate felt like more of a final boss than Sigma did.

I simply suck at X1-X3. Never played X7-X8.

Any news on the netcode yet?

Isn't that something that we'll only know for sure when the game is out in the wild?

All we know is that its some sort of rollback in theory.

Is it telling that there isn't an online beta to test out the game's netcode like there was for Street Fighter V?

That said, most fighting game netcode these days is pretty good, so I'm not *too* concerned.

Yeah the few times I've posted I have been stressing there is no online test and this game will drop soon. The red flags are definitely there

Granted, I usually dont bother with online tests too often but it gives me confidence that there was one and fans have a chance to provide some early feedback. But this should have happened months ago

With the release two weeks out, I realize I am not ready. I am needing to find an adaptor to use my PS3 stick on PS4....does anyone have any recommendations? I found these two-

Cronus Max, $69.99

Brook Super Converter $44.95

The Brook one seems more appealing, mainly due to the cost, but it seems more "legit" to me, based on entirely made up qualifications I just came up with. I did a search, but didn't come up with anything....sorry if I missed a previous discussion where it was already talked about though

Gems matter because tools are not distributed evenly. Haggar doesn't have an air dash or a teleport dash, he can make use of Time gem better than most. He instead has air and ground command grabs. Like say Firebrand who has a lot of dashes but no command grab so he would benefit more from a Mind stone.

I have both, and would go with the Brook easily. I think most would agree.

I guess it's possible it may have PS3 stick support, though. I don't think they have said.

Did I miss any clarifications regarding the Capt. Marvel PS4 exclusive costume?

I want to buy the game from Best Buy for the gamer club discount, but Best Buy does not mention anything about this costume.

The only place I see it mentioned is on the PS4 online store. Does that mean the only way to get the costume is to Pre-order a digital copy on PS4?

The game looks fun but the lack of information from official sources is ridiculous. We shouldn't need to rely on retail descriptions and hand-cam videos from fans to find out basic information about the game.

I have both, go with Brook. That's the one they allow in Evo, I believe.

Cronus is super customizable though and compatible with pretty much everything and I was able to drive up the street and buy one at a local Best Buy, so they're super easy to find too. It works if you want something right now.

Brook's. I have one for Xbox 360 to PS4 (not wireless capable) and one for PS3 to PS4/PS4 to PS3 (can be used wirelessly too). Excellent little piece of hardware to get more use out of your old sticks. Also nice to play on PS3 with a dual shock 4.😉

Brooks converters are def the way to go. I have a PS4 modded arcade stick that I use mainly for fighters but I bought one of the Brooks converters for PS2 to PS4 which works great as I sometimes use a my PS2 Sega Saturn pad instead of my stick for 2D sidescrollers and shmups.

The correct answer is Brook.

Does brooks not require the weird hot swapping of an actual controller with each use like chronos? Also is Xbox One to PS4 Vice versa possible?

Most recent fighting games on PS4 have native PS3 stick compatibility...

I really need to see if my plug n play arcade works with a brook converter. If so that'd mean I could effectively bring two quality sticks to any local for folks to play on side by side arcade style for this title if it works.

Interrupting voice clips with a tag will be fun.

It comes with every PS4 copy.

In two years. That's how long Future Fight players have been waiting.
To be fair, the twins were also hit by the ban.

That said, we're long overdue for Capcom's take on a speedster, especially after NRS did my bro Flash dirty with his play-style.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are the exception, right? Cuz they're mostly associated with the Avengers.

Nah, only Lego Avengers were able to use the Twins due to them directly adapting the movies (namely AoU). There's a reason why Future Fight is just now including Pietro & Wanda rather than when AoU came out. They're classic Avengers, yes, but they were also tied to the X-Men for decades.
