Your little jab about my "unconditional love for the game" btw, no I dont have unconditional love for the game (first of all I havent played it so how could that be?), I just like to be fucking fair about it, which for some bizarre reason, many people refuse to be about this one. I've trashed the many aspects of the game that deserved to be trashed, but there are many that dont. And yes, I value a game, a FIGHTING game's gameplay above all else, youre damn right I do, and that I even have to defend that is utter insanity to me. It's a literal case of "back in my day".

Overhauling an otherwise functional UI is probably at the very bottom of the priority list for an initial patch.

They did it for me one time before but it seems after the 1 time exception they won't do it again which I can somewhat understand yet still a bummer. Was kind of looking forward to a trip to NY and to have it a week early.
It's more of an icing on the cake thing, which is why the rest of my post exists. All it did was get me to avoid pre-ordering.
I love fighting games and as long as it's fun to play and the online is decent, I'll buy it anyway. I still play SFV occasionally despite all of it's issues, as well as Xrd and Tekken. The online is important to me because my friends that I play online fighting games with are on the opposite side of the country (California to New York). We get laggy/rollbacky SFV matches on a regular basis, and Marvel 3 is unplayable, but we play Xrd and Tekken just fine.

It's even more baffling when you take into account how badly SFV was received at launch. One would've thought Capcom would go all-out for a new MvC game, but they dropped the ball so hard. This went from a Day 1 for me to a let's just patiently wait till next year.
hes actually only in the japanese version right? I guess technically hes new, hes not a capcom or marvel character tho, some sort of joke character as a homage to a japanese comedian?

MSHvSF is definitely the most forgettable one. No new characters, and a futile attempt at removing all the broken stuff ended up yielding a boring game. Even in the arcades it was quickly forgotten when the next two games in the series released. The only fun thing about it was how broken Wolverine was in it with the Wolvie-Copter meter building and Berserker Rage infinites.

It's gonna be exactly SFV's prices, bet on it.
It's possible, but I'm not too sure. Part of the reason for the higher price tags were to compensate for Fight Money's existence.
what im really curious is to see, assuming they happen, if they price returning from 3 characters the same as brand new ones.

Perhaps it was just an excuse to charge ridiculous prices (for the costumes). 🤔
People will swear it's what they had to charge to compensate to free stuff, but no one really knows all the details to make an airtight case either way.
What do you think this is, Smash Bros.? Please, they'll all cost the same.
I think only Smash does that. Even MKX charged full price for Goro.

Maybe you know somebody that you can sell it to for close to full price? Get it early, play it early - and then sell it to a friend a day or two before release for like, 50 dollars. Then of course soon after you have your digital copy come in.
