Crytek will release Crytek Remastered for PlaySation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

The news was leaked via the metadata on a Cookie Policy page of the official Crysis website, which included the above artwork.

The metadata description is as follows:
From the makers of Far Cry, Hunt: Showdown, and CRYENGINE, Crysis offers first person shooter fans the best-looking, evolved, and innovative gameplay, enabling players to adapt in real time to survive. Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE’s native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and—for the very first time—Nintendo Switch.

I already have the 360 version BC on X1, but if this is 60fps on X1/PS4 (probably 30 on Switch) then I'll get it again, probably on sale. Wonder if it'll have the jet level that was dropped for the 360/PS3 versions

Yes, the main issue in originally trying to port crysis to 360/ps3 was RAM, i think they needed at least 2gb.

I was answering that in the other thread, yeah I remember my brother has the 360 version. So it seems ok for Switch then.

If PS360 can, Switch sure can too.

My post was a meme, but still, cramming Crysis into Switch, with a decent framerate to boot, is quite the task. I still have doubts but maybe they'll pull it off.

Meme or not, people on Crysis profile are doubing if Nintendo Switch really can run Crysis.

To be honest, this hardware never fails to impress me. The Switch library is filled with "Impossible ports", The Witcher 3 being the most impressive one. A decent Crysis port, handled by the right team, is not completely out of the ordinary.

Crysis 1 can't run on Switch/PS360 running Cryengine 2 due to hardware and Cryengine 2 limitations/poor optimization, but this remaster is not using Cryengine 2, instead, a superior/lastest version of Cryengine with probably have support for multi cores.

Oh wow, I'm looking forward to that then !

Playing Crysis on the go, who would've thought !

...lacks reading comprehension.
It's just the first game? That already received a console port/remaster last gen? FFS, since the beginning of this gen people are asking for a Crysis Trilogy Remaster and now that next gen is around the corner and people are asking for a Crisis Trilogy for next gen (or Crysis 4) they do one for the aging current gen. What a weird decision.

I see the remaster is gonna be released on consoles as well.

The pc version will be a de master, or a remaster with potential limitation compared to the first.

I remember being so disappointed with Crysis 2. Never finished it. Didn't bother playing Crysis 3 at all.

Crysis 1 was so much fun. Great environments. Throwing those Koreans into buildings and seeing it all collapse. Playing around with explosions (barrels, shooting down helicopters). It was like a huge and beautiful playing ground. Oh, and it had vehicles. Bring on this remaster!

A switch version would be better then a 360 version, the seitch would be able to run the full fat og PC version @ low settings
