I wanted to believe that COVID-19 threw their plans into whack but this is getting ridiculous. The world is slowly going back to normal and there’s no excuse anymore, show the console, show more gameplay, show the interface.

Agreed, i didn’t want to spend $500 on a video game console until I learned about how I can play 12 year old 360 games with simulated HDR.

Looks like they are doing it in a controlled environment - probably a place that Sony provided, not in their own studios....
I wonder how much of H/W they'll cover in detail, which.. unfortunately I don't think they would be allowed to, more than looking around or maybe show the 360 around the machine.

These are the games to be shown, because everything else is either in crunch, or not a launch game. Spiderman demos were probably made by the team, based on sections of the games that were actually presentable. No point demoing a bug-filled mess. It's no coincidence that these are the games that have shown the most gameplay thus far.
Use some common sense, people. This is pretty much how all software works. You only demo something when it can be presented without crashing on a walkthrough.

Thought it was at minimum a launch window game. Surely a demo of Spiderman or Godfall would have been better. Anything over Astro. That has to be the least talked about game.
Or how about Destruction All stars? Some of us actually found the trailer interesting but we've seen nothing on it and its a launch game.

They could have shipped it to any one of their engineers or even someone with marginal tech know to do a teardown or atleast hardware spec walk through.
Is the console quiet or not, you can connect a USB3 HDD for cold storage.
The NVMe port requires you to stick your dick in this slot and the bay comes out.
The stand is awesome.
We dont even know how the device decides whether a drive will allow games to boot off it or not.
6+GB/s NVMes are on the market now they def could have told us something about this.
Walking us through the OS doesnt even require that much logistical work.
Do it with someone who already has a PS5.
Hell Geoff K has a PS5 update his console with the latest OS and have him do an overview of the machine.

It should be real. I mean at this point I don't see why Sony wouldn't use a retail console with them. Unless there's something seriously wrong with the hardware.
I still believe it's releasing this November. There's too much evidence out there to say the contrary. Everything thing from Sonys official announcement to the FCC leak supports the systems release this year.

I see Godfall....as next-gen as it comes. Shaping up nicely from the new videos we've seen and should be a true showcase on anyone's 4K TV. The variety of colors, the visual clarity... on that aspect alone it will make that 4K TV (and by extension that PS5) worth it.
I see Balan Wonderworld - my taste.
This will be the best showcase to date of a next-gen console running next-gen games - as fucked up as it seems. Would I like Demon Souls, or Destruction AllStars? Absolutely. But it's what it's.

Showing a bunch of old games... please... get that garbage out and show me next-gen games. I can see current gen games running on my old ass PS4.

There'll be better games out in a year or two and ssds will probably be a bit cheaper.
I was so hyped for next gen at first. Now I wouldn't mind if they delayed it a year.
