I'd like to see 1440p benchmarks and not just 1080p.
1080p is better for CPU comparisons. 1440p/2160p are where the gaps start to close because it's GPU dependent. Like if you look at a 3600 vs 3700x it can be like a couple frames apart at 4K. Showing 4K benchmarks would generally show small enough upgrades that it wouldn't be exciting.I'd like to see 1440p benchmarks and not just 1080p.
Will agree to disagree.Completely pointless to show that.
Does the price seem high to anybody else? The 3600 is what? $200? $100 difference in what should be the same class seems odd. Maybe I'm wrong.

Could have just been the stream but that Borderlands 3 performance was actually not great. Some obvious stutter in there.
I get that totally, but as you said the gap closes and more and more people are moving beyond 1080p.
Yeah, I agree. I think $399 would've been the sweet spot.My sight went straight here

Too much.
It's still way too expensive if you want to buy an 8 core 16 thread CPU to match the next gen consoles.
$450 on a CPU alone is just nuts. AMD used to be far more affordable back in the day.
Too bad they didnt talk about motherboard support

Does it have ddr5 RAM support? I don't know what are my bebefits in gaming coming from a 9900k at 5ghz on all cores apart from PCI-E 4. I I think of this I gotta upgrade Motherboard, CPU, M. 2 SSD, and I have to buy an RTX 3080,it is too muchMy sight went straight here

Me for definite. Still rocking an i7700 and need a good CPU to complete my build.Lots of people will upgrade to this. Looking good.
Prices are...good????
Did she says gears of war at 4k at 73 fps average? isn't the 2080ti sitting at 55?.
I'm on the non X 2600 and thought about upgrading, but I can't fathom spending $300 for the same 6 cores. Was looking at the 5800, but not at $450. Pricing is a little out of alignment, imo. Guess I'll stick with my original plan of waiting until the socket change and DDR5.Ill likely upgrade from my 2600x to a 5600x but I will wait for a sale.
thats just 6 cores. i dont trust game developers coding for 8 core next gen games to get those games running well at 6 cores even if they have higher clocks and more cache. Then buy the 3700x?

Seems like slower than RTX3080 ? Checked Techpowerup for 4k benchmark of Gears 5 and Borderland 3 with the allegedly slowest 3080 (Zotac Trinity)

It's between a 3070 and 3080, from what they've shown. This explains why Nvidia canceled the 3070 Ti(full GA104) and went with 3070 16GB instead.![]()

So what is the final result?
