Didn't screenshots of this come out a few weeks ago?

It looks like XCOM 2. I mean, it looks like the actual XCOM 2 game that came out 10 years ago. Pretty lame.

Hmm, I wonder what Respawn's role in this is? All the hype has been around Respawn's name, but the main studio on this is actually Bit Reactor, an upstart studio formed in 2022 by former Firaxis (XCOM) developers. I'm curious if Respawn is just on as Producer hookups for the new studio, or if they supplied overflow manpower after Jedi Survivor shipped, or actually were in on the design?

Im all in!!!!!!

Bit Reactor seem to have a lot of talent in at their studio as well.
Im officially hyped!

I'm so fucking bad at these games, but I do enjoy them time to time. My most recent purchase was Phantom Doctrine.

Hopefully this one turns out good.

Great, another tactics game that I'll be fiending to play, but will really have to avoid at all costs since I'm just far too dumb and inpatient to be any good at them

It happened with XCOM, Midnight Suns, and Mario Rabbids and I'm sure it'll happen here too. Boo fucking hoo :messenger_weary:

Fuck YES this is going to be great!!!!!!!!!

I'm very much interested in seeing where this goes. Ready for a western Xcom-like on console without crashes or issues! The IP is actually great for this genre because it is really easy to classify units. Like you know when a Sith with a lightsaber steps out on the field to give them a wide berth.

I'm already brainstorming OT ideas. Darth Unicorn. Ewok Emblem: Tree Houses, Disgaea 8: Star Wars 7

Yes yes yes please! For all the upcoming games and drama what does with them, I share to watch this games career with great interest

Star Wars? I'll pass, Disney killed that franchise for me, I don't even care if they somehow magically turn the franchise good again. It's been 15 years of raw sewage; you can't undo the levels of apathy I have for the franchise now.

I'm curious about it, but if it's like X-Com and other games like this, I might find it too frustrating. I really don't like the RNG, where you miss even if you have 95% chance of hit, it often feels more up to luck than actual strategy.
The turn based / tactical game I liked the most was Midnight Suns, because there's no miss. You have to find a strategy with the cards in your hands, but once you do find a strategy, you know it will work, the rules are set, there's no luck, and I really liked that.
