I hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking they'll do worse and make it more like 12 PM
As long as it's actually available to purchase, I guess I don't really care. Just don't want this to be more limited than they imply. Still just no idea why they wouldn't do preorders - what would be the downside to that exactly? Still pondering.

The best RPG's ever, though I wished they could have also put the old versions in there too, along with the WD SEGA CD translations.
The Mega CD/SEGA CD versions are better, with Lunar 1 having better music and Lunar 2 having more animation in battles and the like on the Mega-CD

Nobody made a better RPG than GameArts IMO

if it sold out, then that's some horse shit, cuz ive literally been refreshing all night
Same here. Fingers crossed that they just haven't purchase enabled it yet!

Being a Switch game collector is always such a pain in the ass. Always more difficult than it should be to get the games I want. Meanwhile, you can walk into a gamestop and buy physical copies of....Dustborn. are you fucking kidding me?

Wario64 just posted on X that "the Switch version hasn't stocked yet", hope he's right

Just woke up and checked Amazon and well, we all want the Switch version, huh?
It's after 1am here, about to go to bed and I guess take my chances in the morning

got it on Steam

My Switch version won't be here until late April according to Amazon UK. International shipping, but that's fine by me. Watch as the NA version somehow becomes the rare version.

I have a few things to complain about. The VO doesn't hit that charm of the original. You can just sense it in their voice. They also didn't include the exp boost nor did they add anything to speed up the grind. Ffs FF1-9 have QoL features to help speed things up. You can speed up battles, so I guess that'll have to do unless they add in the other stuff later?

I'm happy to have it, but at the same time these features would have made the experience even better. Grinds are ok, but if you can help me knock out a couple hours of grinding. That would be preferred. I'd rather fight 700 battles than 1500 if that makes sense. This isn't about getting an easy mode either. Time is a valuable thing.

Apologies for cluttering the thread, I'm unable to figure out how to edit posts -- feel real dumb, like I'm missing an obvious "edit" button but I'm not seeing it.

Anyway, if anyone else got it on Xbox for Play Anywhere purposes, I was able to trigger the PC download by signing into the Xbox website, going to the game page, and then clicking install -> PC.

Hope everyone has fun with this :)

EDIT: Of course now, on this post, the edit button is showing. Ugh.

So, it is really just better to play the PlayStation original in an emulator. I was thinking as much.

No idea why they just didn't keep the original voice acting.

Yeah. I am not going to waste money on this.

Man, already unavailable on PS4 and copies on eBay for $75. Gonna just keep checking back periodically. They better do more than 1 print of this game. I have every version of Lunar that's ever come out.

jshackles jshackles IT'S LIVE!

My options were to get it Monday for $5.99 or get it Wednesday for free. I'll just wait for Wednesday.
Thanks for the shout-out - of course it went live 15 minutes after I went to bed. Thankfully, there were still copies when I woke up, so I was able to snatch one.

If it wasn't for the graphics I'd say get the tablet version and play with a controller. One thing you say about SSSC is that none of their releases are consistent. Each time someone adds something or takes away. At least listen to the intro on YouTube before playing this. That way you get an idea of what happened.

The original cast had more charm.

Picked up digital and put a few hours in Lunar 1 today. This game runs entirely on old-school JRPG charm, and I love it. The speed option for combat is appreciated, especially after fighting 50 of the same slime monster in the first dungeon.

That being said, I imagine that people who don't have the nostalgia connection to the genre will probably find this to be nothing special. In terms of storytelling, so far this is very much a by-the-numbers "young man from remote village seeks adventure, unaware of the forces of destiny guiding him" sort of thing.

Is the voice acting good?

So far it's passable.....good enough to not be distracting. Others here have said it's not as good as the original English dub.

I actually like the remake VA better in that scene.

Got the Switch version. Getting on Sunday from Amazon. It was 32% off and sold for $50, saying regular price was $80....lol. Stretching it a bit even at $50 for a remaster.
