Comedy Central's Workaholics star Blake Anderson is recovering from spinal surgery after the actor leapt from the roof of his home onto a beer-pong table and fractured his back at a party in Los Angeles last week.
Despite the seriousness of the accident, the actor confirmed he's on the mend in a tweet - and revealed hope that the home-grown stunt makes him the star of another Comedy Central show -- Tosh.0.
"Feeling great! I don't think I would have made it without all the love and support of my friends and family. I am forever grateful," Anderson tweeted. "I hope I get on Tosh.0 ;-p."
Luckily for those who weren't at the party, the incident was captured on a video which shows the curly-haired actor's jump, cheers from the party people - and his howls of agony after he lands on the table, rolls over and tries to get back up.
And thanks to modern medicine, the potentially tragic consequences to a spinal injury were averted with surgery in L.A.
"Anderson underwent successful back surgery. We're pleased to report that the prognosis is for a full and complete recovery," a Workaholics spokesperson said.
The prognosis for Workaholics is good, too. The show, which just wrapped its second season this November, has been picked up for a third season.
On the show, Anderson, Adam DeVine and Anders Holm play a group of friends who work at a telemarketing agency who chase misadventure and embrace mischief -- which often involve stunts and antics not unlike Anderson's real-life roof plunge.
