$70 UE port with added pronouns. Do people still have faith in anything Bethesda? Fallout 4 was the last decent release from them and still paled in comparison to FO3/NV.

Starfield was hot garbage and a step backwards in every respect. Elder Scrolls (and Fallout) are both dead. Move on already.
TBH I've said it several times that gamers should move on but realistically people like us are the minority vote.

Why give bioware your money when larian showed even with a Kickstarter title they're the new kids on the block and with Divinity 2 and Baldurs Gate 3 bioware and obsidian are afterthoughts.

People still want Diablo 4 to be rescued meanwhile you have Grim Dawn with literally 1000+ hours of content for 15 dollars and the build + skill combinations are into the hundreds and thousands vs 1 viable build for each class.

Why fight about civ when endless legend is clearly the replacement. Shit goes on and on but established names will bring in unjustified money

Yeah no way it's a actual remake of something as big as Oblivion if it's going to be a shadow drop. Would have gotten tons of marketing before way before. It'll probably be a HD Remaster similar to The Thing Remaster, Legacy of Kain remaster, System Shock 2 remaster or at most it'll be the higher quality tier remasters like Saints Row the Third and Ninja Gaiden 2 etc and they'll just made the rumors call it a remake to sound more impressive or something. Assuming it's even true which I'm almost certain it's not and if it is true than it'll be more remasters than a actual remake.

Although not 100% impossible if this Bethesda gave this company the Fallout 4 engine many years ago just like how they gave Osidian the Fallout 3 engine to make NV but I still highly doubt it. 99% doubt.

Starfield's lore was completely garbage and didn't interest people whether it's new fans or bethesda fans, even tons of good modders aren't even bothering with modding Starfield cause the world/lore/etc does not interesting people. Fallout 4 and Skyrim both have several times the ccu of Starfield. But a new Elder Scrolls or Fallout would be completely different because they already have a extremely huge loyal fanbase with some of the biggest and best lores out there. So it would be much more successful and liked than Starfield. Fallout 4 modded is still the best game since from 2015 till now. A ESVI and Fallout 5 would be gigantic and second only to GTA VI in popularity/sales probably.

This is why I have total confidence in Bethesda to pump out a great ES or Fallout game despise Starfield being shit.

Yes, it should be Morrowind, but it realistically cannot be. Oblivion is relatively easy to remake compared to Morrowind without gutting it almost completely - Morrowind is a text driven game with a massive amount of it. Considering they wouldn't release a game like that in "this day and age", we are left with the result of Oblivion, which was already voiced and therefore can be more readily done in a way that more accurately represents the original product. At least, I wouldn't likely want whatever they think a "Morrowind remake" would look like. I'm not sure I want whatever they think an "Oblivion remake" will look like - with the exception of Skyblivion - that I do want.

But let's see what we see.
My simplistic reasoning is that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the Xbox 360, so we will see some surprise remasters and remakes to celebrate.

Oblivion will be first.

I think if it's shadow dropped it's more a substantial remaster than a remake (like the Crash Bandicoot trilogy or original Tomb Raider games)
Anyway I'm interested in it.

Has to be the shadow drop of official announcement and not the game. If its the latter, I wonder if it's truly good at all.
I understand that teasers and such exist, but I don't think anyone would consider an official announcement a "shadow drop". Especially when the game has been rumored to be in production for years.

I'd rather have a Skyrim remake, but whatever.

I'm in regardless of whether it's a full remake or a remaster. The game has so much charm and the quest lines are excellent. I cannot wait to go back to the guild quests and see those through again.

Virtous studio doing work this year.
If this ends up good along with mgs 3 delta, we have a bonafide successor to Bluepoint.
I am worried the Art style change this being an asian studio from a western will be interesting. It should look like a fantasy book cover. People get up in arms when done wrong.

I feel ya, but it would be damn strange to shadow drop a remake or remaster of such a big game. Can't help but wonder what the quality will be.

It'd be awesome but I just don't see it. I want it to drop but man I'm about to dive into Indy, we got forza soon, still have atomfall to Crack into... I'd rather it come out mid summer but maybe it will drop this month

I doubt it, although I wouldn't mind a new western RPG to play. I haven't touched this game in years either, but the last time I played it there was things that really stood out in needing some QOL fixes. Also the music. It's just so horribly programmed into the game. It didn't annoy me when I first played nearly 20 years ago now, but no matter what level you are even if you come near a mudcrab that you could one shot the battle music starts playing and resets whatever ambient track was playing. If that ain't fixed, I'm not buying.

All I know is that after playing Avowed, Bethesda is going to have some heat on them for Elder Scrolls 6. If this is an Unreal 5 remake with more action combat, it could be pretty awesome. If it's even on the level of Avowed combat, this will be a real treat. Huge "if" though. We shall see.

Not too into the darker style but still looks good. Would definitely check it out and I'll just treat this as the dark filter style Obivion while Skyobivion remains the brighter and more vibrant one. I really hope for mod support or I'll just move to Skyobivion for good after playing this few times. I see the deluxe version has the horse armor.

At least or I hope that they'll make the oblivion invasion feel huge and threatening cause they were a joke in the original. Had to use a few mods to enhance the experience.

Edit: Haha, JUST missed it. This is awesome though! Can't wait to learn more!

Y'all see these?

A user apparently stumbled onto this directory and found this image below: https://www.virtuosgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/

There's one of a tavern as well.

I'll be purchasing this the moment it becomes available. Graphics are a nice improvement. I just hope it runs somewhat on Steam Deck although if it's UE5 I have my doubts.
