So the 76ers...
PG - Jrue Holiday
SG - Nick Young / Evan Turner
SF - Andre Iguodala / Dorell Wright / Moe Harkless
PF - Thaddeus Young / Arnett Moultrie
C - Spencer Hawes / Nikola Vucevic / Darryl Watkins

11-man roster, ~$10M under luxury tax threshold.

They need to look at picking up Ramon Sessions or maybe Aaron Brooks or something. Jrue ain't gonna cut it.

Turner is technically the backup point.

and Lavoy Allen will start.

yes.

across the street not down the road right?

It's actually incredible how much a potential Orlando-LA-Houston 3 way makes sense for every team involved. If the Wizard and Hennigan have any brains they should go for that or Hennigan should go for Bynum. Since he's either going for a straight blow up and tank+random picks or he can get the proven all star in Bynum.

Howard is better than Bynum and if HOU can get Howard w/o crippling its ability to make moves going forward then it makes no sense to involve the Lakers.

You sure? Hoopshype shows Hedo as a PLAYER option. Pretty sure he's not opt out.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/orlando.htm

And Houston would need to amnesty Scola already to make the deal.
Hedo agreed to change it when Toronto traded him, last season is only partially guaranteed.

EDIT: Source back in the day: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5372405
According to the Republic, Turkoglu is waiving roughly $5 million of a trade bonus in his contract and reducing the guaranteed money in the final season -- which was worth $12 million in 2013-14 -- to facilitate his move to the Suns.
Leon Babby was his agent.

Except Bynumbskull is trash and the whole thing sucks for every team involved except the Lakers who get another dynasty

Well Houston would get the 2nd best Center in the league who would resign and Orlando can completely blow it up and tank. Or Orlando would get Bynum, tank and hope for a guard or something then continue build around him. Yes Bynum is an idiot but at the very least you can build around him if he's the best you got. Either way Orlando's likely gonna end up going into full tank mode or Bynum unless some team has the balls to trade for Dwight otherwise.

Obviously the only reason they should even by going after Bynum is to ensure they get someone they can resign. Otherwise what in the world makes them think renting Howard for a year will turn out well when they're nowhere near contention. The only thing that would get him to resign is hoping he doesn't give a damn and he takes the $100 million for 5 years.

Bingo. Fuck the Lakers if the Rockets can do this without them.

Just did some quick math and the only reason the Rockets would need to amnesty Scola is if Kmart is not being traded to Orlando or Bulls somehow don't match Asik. Houston could absorb Hedo, Dwight, Duhon, and JRich into their cap space if Kmart is being moved.

Doesn't make sense.

Bingo. Fuck the Lakers

Still wondering if Danny Ferry may have one trick left up his sleeve.

Even if he doesn't, I can't complain about a offseason where both Marvin and Joe's contracts were shipped out.

Their offer is the only plausible one out there that would kill off Rockets/Lakers talks. If Atlanta wants to make the jump they should at least try.

I really really want to see how Miami plays with Ray, how Kobe in particular meshes with a PG like Nash, and what in the holy hell Chicago and Dallas are going to do. The wait is starting to wear on me already. Offseason is horrible.

A team built around Bynum will never win a single playoff game

The Magic and Rockets could just do a trade between them because the Rockets have actual assets and Morey is dumb enough to take Dwight without any long-term commitment, Lakers just have a moron who shot 40% from the field against Kendrick Perkins in the playoffs

It's pretty cool how much you've bullshitted this 3 team deal as being beneficial for everyone when anyone with a fucking brain realizes the Lakers win that trade 50 times over

Dwight, Jrich, and forward army still leaves us with a decent cap. If we could convince him to stay we could, in theory, make a run for some help next summer.

Thats still a steaming pile of crap roster. IF this goes through, and Howard walks away as a free agent next year they are SCREWED for years to come.

And Howard WILL walk away from that poopoo platter of a roster.

Tanking > Bynum, IMO, unless they try to flip him for picks from another team or something

Why's Bynum trash?

I wouldn't mind trying Bynum & a defensive forward after all these years of Dwight & shooters.
He lacks a heart. He's like a big ass

tin_man.jpg
.

Seriously, he pouts and bitches and whines like a 14 year old. Plus, he already said he didn't care where he went after the Lakers lost to the Thunder, which shows he has no loyalty whatsoever. Dwight, for all of his bitching and complaining, is at least willing to go out and play every night and you won't see him walking up the court after each play.

The Wizard gives not a single fuck about signability at this point. He thinks, no matter what Howard says now, that he will have no other choice but to re-sign. The only reason to bring the Lakers in is to help Orlando shift salary. I'm not actually sure how the Lakers help the deal. They have no picks. No cap room. Unless they send Gasol along with Bynum I can't see their role

The only thing Bynum brings anyone is another five years into the dead-end hell that is NBA mediocrity.

Howard is a legit gamechanger on his own.

I'ma get crushed for this, but Howard is the number 2 player in the NBA. At the very worst, 3 behind KD.

Because according to Nelo Ice the only deal that should be done if Morey and Hennigan had brains is the one that creates a superteam in LA

Uhh why? It's not like they're dealing superstar forwards here. They might lose out on some good players, but if Howard bolts it's not like they're missing out on the titles they were going to win in 2013 and 2014 with the current team.

You guys really don't want to see us get anyone in any scenario lol. If we don't get Dwight whatever we still got the 2nd best C in the league even though I don't want him at the max he'll command. The reason it makes sense is again If Dwight walks out on Houston they're left in full tank mode or medicority...again. Orlando will come out the losers in any scenario since they are trading the biggest prize of them all.

At the very least with the 3 way Houston gets someone they can try to build around and Orlando is going to be stuck with shit anyway and hope they draft the next the big thing. Bynum's at least valuable since he's already a proven all star even though yes he is a knucklehead. It's hard to argue that value when you at least get someone who can play compared to rolling the dice on any draft pick even if it is the top 10.

Lol it doesn't matter who we get at this point. If we can anyone that's actually good everyone here will be screaming their heads off to deny us even if the trade makes sense.

I'm not piling on. I just don't see how the Lakers help this deal. You bring up the idea that Bynum won't leave while Howard will. That is not an issue. Houston doesn't care. Orlando doesn't care obviously. Orlando wants picks and to unload contracts, and HOU needs to maintain some flexibility so as to not be stuck in the same position Orlando is now in.

What I genuinely do not understand is what the Lakers do to help. They can't take contracts or offer picks or young players

It's amusing how you patronize us by reducing the mantra of "you never get equal value for a star" as "LAWL TAKE OUR GARBAGE DERP". Bynum needs to be paid next year, he has no true value because whoever gets him is going to have to effectively use him as their team's centerpiece what with how overpaid everyone is becoming these days; this is a terrible idea considering how Bynum has a negative motor on a team with Kobe Bryant screaming into his ear during every timeout, I can't even begin to imagine how few fucks he'll give after he's been paid 100 million dollars.

As I said earlier, the Rockets and Magic can just do a trade between themselves; Rockets have a lot of assets, the Magic have the player Morey wants. I see pretty much no one else besides Laker fans trying to press for this 3 team deal, because everyone else knows it sucks.

So Brand wants to be a Mav, and I think they are the team under the cap that has the most to bid on him. I guess it'll happen soon. Hope Mavs can resign D-West after signing Brand.

Mavs probably have about $5 million left in cap space right now. Is Brand even any good any more, though?

again, tanking > Dwight

how is bynum better than picks? He isn't a guy you build around, imo

I honestly don't give a fuck as far as Dwight goes. It be nice to get him but I can't fucking wait to see Nash/Pau PnRs.

And Nash was hinting at Nash/Kobe PnRs..?

And if Grant Hill signs and I get to see Tamia @ Staples...

GOODNESS!

Imagine if Kobe and Nash played together in their primes, circa 2006...WOO!!!

You'd think the Laker fans would be at least a little bit humbled after two second round bounces but it looks like they can't even wrap their heads around the idea that Dwight doesn't want to go to LA
