Frank Mason had the clutch gene.
Dream is dead. Cancel the season. What a disappointment.
Iowa just doesn't even try to play defense. But damn they got some playmakers this year

Virginia has dismissed former Memphis standout Austin Nichols from its basketball program.
Um...well, this is kinda a big deal as far as power balance in the ACC goes this year
Many UVa fans think that our revenue sports teams are cursed. I take this news as confirmation.Gary ParrishVerified account

I'm curious as to what happened with Nichols. He was a prime Duke target before signing with Memphis. When he left there, some wondered if he was considering Duke, but a lot of the 9.95ers insisted that whatever interest Duke had was long gone.
Bennett is a really good coach and most thought that Nichols would exceed at UVA. Then I hear he was suspended and now dismissed. The rumor I've heard was academic cheating but I really don't know shit.
So now our top 4 guys are out with injuries, and we just lost Jeter as well.
What the hell is going on?
edit: You know what? How about this: Duke takes the rest of the season off up until the NCAA tournament to rehab and heal. We get an automatic 4-seed. I'd take that. We have enough depth to have full 5-on-5 practices at a high level. We don't actually need in-game experience.
Thoughts, Duke fans?
K will be forced to play Vrankovic, Jack White, DeLaurier, Sean Obi, and Nolan Smith by New Years at this rate
Excited for the NC State/Creighton game in a bit. DSJr is going to face his first real test of the season, and we don't have Kapita. Should be a good one.
So NC State just scored 94 points in a game and lost by 18.
Good one, State.
Iowa State hung 130 against Citadel. I didn't know 130 was possible in college

Not since the late '80s/early '90s. Loyola Marymount averaged 122.4 ppg in 1990. They put up 149 on Michigan in the 2nd round of the NCAAs that year...
Jeez. In 1990 was there a shorter shot clock? Was the game longer than 40 mins?
Gophers might actually compete this year. Don't think I watched them last year but they look a hella lot better than 2 years ago.
