Ace Combat 8 low key confirmed in development

I watched Nintendo Direct with my wife, who was next to me. She was fascinated by Omisetchi. She was surprised by Tomodachi Collection. She asked me, "Can we play Nintendo games at home?" "When will the Ace Combat we're making be announced?" "Are there any other fighter plane games?" She asked me. The cherry blossoms have started to bloom.

Is it really that difficult to include the translated text in the thread you created? Maybe I'm blind as a bat, because I don't see any translate tab.

X wouldn't let me copy the translation from my phone and paste.
I got you fam:

After the critical and commercial success of Ace Combat 7 is seemed obvious but it's nice to have some kind of confirmation that it's coming. I can't wait.

It better not be trash like 7. Go back to 0, 4 and 5 sort of sick! Seriously, I can't even remember the protags callsign from 7, it was that forgettable.

I want an Ace Combat game set in Strangereal's equivalent of WW2. I want to fly a Bf109 and down some P-51's and Spitfires.

Great, perfect for a Switch 2 game. The industry really needs a refresh right now and this game on the Switch 2 would really go a long way to changing the landscape.

The one where they did US Army and had an Apache helicopter wasn’t the best gameplay wise, but I liked the ability to use an Apache or helicopters in general instead of only jets. The series sort of peaked for me years ago.

I loved that portion of the game and enjoyed that gameplay. Would love that apache level and gunship mechanic in this new ace8

I liked Assault Horizon's Dogfight Mode (please don't kill me). It added a sense of spectacle and I would like it to be attempted again. Maybe they could just like, not do it ALL THE TIME. Limit it to a "SUPER" bar that fills slowly and you can only perform a few times per mission.

I thought it was a neat concept and yeah, added some nice cinematic flair, but it needed tweaked a bit. Maybe reserved only for special sections/boss fights?

Sadly haven't come around to Ace Combat 7 yet. Bought it after I got a HOTAS and was deep into Elite Dangerous. Got a bit burned out. But the next time I get the itch for some dogfights I'll definitely boot it up.

AC7 is better than no Ace Combat, but I agree it's weaker than 4 to 6 despite the better flying mechanics. If they nail the missions and keep the gimmicks (like IFF) to a minimum, AC8 could be the GOAT.
