G3 is not better than G4.Voted for G3, tech is better.
This probably isn’t going to be helpful. But as someone who owns both a Samsung oled and an lg g3.. please listen to me.
Game mode on the g series sucks, you don’t get any of the nice post processing features like color or brightness boost, and while you can game on vivid with ALLM, you lose some response time. (Just look at any gaming forum taking about the G series. Everyone is discussing work arounds like gaming on filmmaker mode… it’s ridiculous) Samsung’s QD-OLED is better tech, it’s night and day side by side. Brighter, and oh my gosh the colors are insane. Anything red is jaw dropping.
Consider the Samsung S95D. I’m not here to start tv fanboy wars, I’m just saying as a guy who has both, the Samsung is better for gaming. Objectively better. It’s not close.

Donnie Brasco, have watched this movie maybe 100 times.Agreed, with stuff like this, the bigger, the better. Once you start getting to like $2,300 or $2,700, might as well get the biggest anyway.
Anything above 100", I just use a projector anyway, I have one thats like 300" that fits a whole wall that i use to watch old films
Wise choice. You're in for one hell of an experience.Update:
Folks, ended up with 65G4.
Me and the missus tried to sit at 6 ft in front our 75'' living room tv and we agreed the FOV was too much for our likings. Plus the MLA panel and the 5 yearn warranty really win me over.
Thanks for all the inputs, gaffers are always a great community. Anyway, can't wait to join the OLED wagon and never shut up about it!
Donnie Brasco!
I love that flick.

I was searching on LG G4 gaming setting and stumbled across this quite dedicated thread. This probably isn’t going to be helpful. But as someone who owns both a Samsung oled and an lg g3.. please listen to me.

I have a 65 CX much different going to C4 for movies and games ?
Not really unless you're planning to go up in size. I went from a 55 C9 to 77 C4 and picture quality wise they're very similar.
Yup I'm still rocking my 55C9 which still does everything I need and the pic quality remains superb. I also couldn't fit a bigger tv in my office/gaming room.
I'll upgrade for PS6 to a 77 G7/8 which should be a real upgrade at that point.
This is fucking stupid picture.
As someone who had this setup, it is awful for gaming. When you have to physically tilt and turn your head to see HUD elements in the corners, it gets tiring. You do not want the TV to fill that much of your FOV for gaming. It's better to have a balance for movies and games.it's not filling my view fully
But 65" is not event close to filling my view from 6-7 feet. In order to get uncomfortable and looking around to see hud I need to close to 2-2,5 feet from it.As someone who had this setup, it is awful for gaming. Can you, OP, even see the difference in picture quality between the C and G series? Or are you just basing this off of some internet article or YouTube influencer? I'd bet when you see the difference, you won't care that much.

I sit a little less than 5' away from a 55" and it's pretty comfortable. Imo 65" for 6' away or 77" for 7-8' is good6 feet is way close for 77. 70+ is too big for most environments that aren’t a theater room, but I got it since I’m 13 feet away and had too.
65 inch with a better screen if you are in the setting for 5 years.
When I got my 77" C3 I laughed as I thought I would have to look at corners to see certain things. That went away in 2 weeks and I can see everything on the screen just fine.If you're gaming (or hard of hearing and use subtitles on films etc) be wary of getting too large a panel. What might seen great for big movies and TV isn't so great when you're playing a game with text or maps in corners or bottom of the screen and the screen is such a size that from your seating position your eyes have to constantly move in their sockets to look at sections of the screen rather than take in the screen as a whole. I might not have explained what I mean very well, but try moving your chair a bit too close to your existing TV, put on a game with lots of text and information bars etc and see how unpleasant an experience it is.
for years i was ~6ft from a 77" and loved itImo 6 feet is too close for 77"
