Alan Wake 2 sales exceeded 2 million units and the game started to accrue royalties; Control 2 has entered full production

AW2 will always be remembered as the game I bought right before selling the Series X.
Full priced game and only got to play a few min.
Epic Store exclusives for Control 2?

In the middle of Alan Wake 2 right now and I'm loving it but I can see why people wouldn't though. Very similar to Death Stranding in a way to me where I can see why people wouldn't like it but I'm really enjoying it.

MP 1+2 R are my most anticipated games rn. Contol 2 should be sick as well, can't come out soon enough. I wonder if MP is possible by Q4 2026?

Awesome news for Remedy. They might be my favorite game developer in the industry today.

Can't wait for the Max Payne games and Control 2.

Why make a control sequel? Game bombed hard

lol, no. It already made 3x back as of 2023. Likely even more profitable since then.

Remedy's Control made €62 million in profit with over 3 million game sales
Remedy's supernatural shooter Control is a big success that earned 3x its development budget with a strong 3 million sales of the game across all systems.

What's also interesting about Control is how much it took to make--or how little. Control had a development budget of €30 million, which is considerably less than most AAA games these days. According to Digital Bros, the parent company of 505 Games who published Control, Remedy's shooter made a total of €92 million in revenues and has sold over 3 million copies.
