Jesus christ. This woman is talking about leaving a full time job because her stepdad died of cancer and she realized living in a different country and barely seeing her family is not working for her, specially when the one time she spent the most time with her family in 10 years was to watch someone die and she needed this wake up call to make this decision and y'all are talking about her qualifications. Have some fucking respect guys. Seriously.

I'm sorry for her loss, I really do. But it's not like enough reason for me to care about her job or life choices. She has my condolences, but respect for what she do or her decisions? Nah.

Call me an old man yelling at clouds, but who cares? She was there for like 2 years and didn’t do anything impactful. Why make a video about it? If this was Cory Barlog, it would make sense because he has been there so long and has done so much, but who does she think she is?

This behavior of announcing everything on social media and making videos about themselves whenever those occasions arise make me intensely dislike the narcissistic social media generation. Always me, me, me.
This seems a big trend in video games. Other industries people don't do this as much. Who really gives a shit?

Now I am back to yelling at clouds.

It can’t be easy living across the world from your family, and rarely getting to spend time with them. She’s reevaluating after a big loss in her family.

Those vacation days are awful though. I work 5-6 days a week and get five weeks vacation. That doesn’t include sick days. To be with a company for ten years and only getting ten days?! That’s ridiculous.

You can't die before your death
A one-day vacation a year for ten years? We have a saying in my region that translates to "I knew it was a lie because of how big it was."

Definitely not good for her finances, but great for her sanity to just unplug from youtube and social media for a month. Just, spend time with family. Go on a hike and don't post anything about it on instagram.

If I'm not mistaken, she was responsible for the story paths in God of War Ragnarök that brought all that moral lesson stuff about Odin's abusive relationship with Freya, as well as the personality and events with Angrboda.

If that's true, her leaving is a big win for Sony Santa Monica.

We'll probably never know what she really did. Her role could have been something as minor as peer reviewing other peoples work for 20 hours a week.

Good for her and good luck. I’m sure she makes enough money from her social presence. I see no reason to bag on her for her work at Sony since we have not seen it yet and no reason to defend her since she has made her life public. It sucks to lose a family member and it seems she wants to make changes that bring her closer to her remaining family. From my personal experience. Good choice.

Is it just me or all masters degree holders are easy quitters? One of many reasons I haven't planned to study the masters degree, to me, making high networth is much smarter and meaningful in life.

I guess the old addage, if you can't say something nice then don't say nothing at all is just completely gone from our society. People putting down others to feel good about themseleves is the new norm.

I lost my dad 2 years ago and even though we had a great relationship and saw each other regularly I still feel like I should have been there more. When you get older you realize how few people in your life truely love and care about you.
