There were aliens in one of the seasons? Which one?Pretty sure no news station would be allowed to show a snuff film on tv. This is less realistic than magical witches and alien abductions.

Yeah. I was willing to give a pass to the editorializing during her reporting in retrospect, since her boss called her out on it and her being batshit insane as the reason for it is well-established at this point, but airing a recorded murder would never fly.Pretty sure no news station would be allowed to show a snuff film on tv. Jesus, I hate everyone in this cult.
Same here, wondering if he's bullshitting though? Was obvious he was involved. I do like seeing Kai's past.
Also, looks like everyone was right and Ivy is working with Winter, to some extent, after all! I somewhat doubt she's involved in the gaslighting of Ally...
The show being focused on Kai and co. is much more interesting than watching Sarah Paulson cry and freak out for most of every episode. I'm glad it's picking up.
I wonder. She told Winter that she hated her wife, and that only her son matters to her now. Letting the kid get traumatized by the things going on around him, up to and including allowing a plan to have his guinea pig get microwaved right in front of him, is an odd way of trying to convince people that she at least still loves him though.Huh. Okay then. Still not sure of her/their motive though - why spend all this time and energy on Ally? Just get a divorce and be done with it if you're so pissed off that she voted for Jill Stein. Ivy has been painted as relatively sane, so I don't know how I'm supposed to buy that she'd terrorize her wife (whom she evidently still loves?), and son, just to get back at the world for Hillary losing.

Thinking more aboit the episode...this, absolutely this.I'm a little annoyed at the level of believeability that the writers are trying to get us to jump on board with for a lot of these characters. They hit their breaking points too damn easily. But I guess that's par for the course with AHS? It's not like I wasn't aware since the beginning that every single one of them but Ally was in on it and trying to ruin Ally's life. That's not what I have a problem believing. It's their motivation for doing so, especially Ivy. Reminds a bit of Non-Stop where they hijack a plane to kill hundreds of innocent people because they don't feel like the increased airport security was good enough.
And Ivy you've been committing ritualistic torture for like a year. You were literally about to kill the guy downstairs 5 minutes prior. There was a dead man in your meat locker. How is it that killing the gimp was too much for you to handle? And locking them in coffins is too fucked up but the murder isn't? Don't start this "I'm starting to think Kai might be insane" shit now. I'm not accepting that. They're all in waaaaay too deep for me to accept that.
That nail gun scene though.
What did they refer to the guy hanging in the attic as? Couldn't understand

Theyre dragging it out and made it seem like killing R.J. was the first time they kill one of their own, theyre probably just fucking with Ally.Is Meadow still alive? I don't understand that part, I think I'm lost lol
Are Kathy Bates and Frances Conroy not in it this year? I feel like this season desperately needs some genuine acting talent because half the people in this cult are terrible at doing so.
Kathy Bates isn't in this one, but I'm pretty sure I read that Frances Conroy was supposed to appear this season.
FX said today that the producers of American Horror Story: Cult made substantial edits to the episode that airs Tuesday because the opening scene depicts an occurrence of gun violence that has sadly become all too common in our country.
The unedited version will available on VOD platforms.
In light of the tragedy last week in Las Vegas, Ryan Murphy and the producers of American Horror Story: Cult have chosen to make substantial edits to the opening scene of tomorrow nights episode, FX Networks said in a statement. This opening, which was filmed two months ago and which portrays an occurrence of gun violence that has sadly become all too common in our country, contains a sequence that some viewers might find traumatic. Only the edited version of the episode will air on the FX linear channel, while the unedited version of the episode will be available on the VOD platform of your cable, satellite or telco provider, as well as on the FX Networks non-linear platforms, FXNOW and FX+.

Still, great episode...knew it was the doc right when he said brother.
Not liking this season at all, it feels like its torture porn. That and Kai is so fucking annoying and his dialogue is cliche trash lol.
