are you a hard or soft typer?

I am not sure. I have the basic of basic black Microsoft keyboards so the sound it projects is not exactly 'soft', but clicky. I forget my WPM but I remember it being well above the requirements that are needed for secretarys. :lol

soft.

A friend of mine is a really hard typer. It drives me nuts. When she uses my laptop, I don't even recognise the noise my keyboard makes. :/

I'm a hard typer cause the keyboard work gave me is absolutely awful. I'm thinking about buying the Apple keyboard to bring in here to use. Anyone have it and want to tell me if it's worth it?
It's worth it.

I'm a soft typer. Hard typing annoys me to no end. I think that has a lot to do with the kind of keyboard you have though, my parents used to have one that was hard no matter how you pushed the keys..

I like it as hard as possible. As a matter of fact, I've been looking for one of those old clicky IBM keyboards but I have no idea where to find one.

I've got a stack of five or six in my basement needing cleaning--and USB adapters. Many years back, I traded a couple for a PSX. :) But yeah, there's one at my desk at work, and one at home... I swear by those things.

Here's a couple sites for you if you're looking for one. I've bought from neither, so I can't vouch.

MORE: This one right here might just be the most perfect keyboard ever.

My dad presses the buttons quite hard, but I guess that's because he's been a journalist since the typewriter era, and you had to press those hard. :D

Myself, I dont really care if the keyboard makes a sound or not, but I dont beat the keyboard. I hate flappy laptop keyboards though for some reason.

I'd probably be a soft typer, but i hate soft keyboards (laptop style keys) so I sound like a machine-gunner because i like the tactile feel of old keyboards

I guess somewhere in the middle? I don't think it's really soft (though I'm usually typing as quietly as I can, without fucking up my speed and accuracy), but not overly loud. I'm a horrible typist though. What I'm thinking and what I end up typing often don't match up. And I have an odd habit of leaving out negatives (e.g. does instead of doesn't, etc.).

I don't know... I guess soft? There's only been one time when I've typed up a paragraph with so much anger that it's manifested itself physically on the keyboard and I felt really silly afterward. I pounded the shit out of that KB. :lol

I'm a pecker, not a typer. I use all fingers except ring and pinky. I've had Typing of the Dead for PC for a while now. I need to use it more often so I can learn the proper way to type. I think I'm a pretty soft pecker though.

I'm a pretty hard typer, I always pure beef the space and enter keys, especially when I'm writing an essay. So satisfying! I love noisy keyboards, absolutely hate laptops. When I was younger I learned to type on an Apple, it had such a meaty keyboard, was awesome. Got a Dell one the now, isn't bad but could do with a bit more click.

I'm the same with phones, I absoultely hate touch sensitive buttons efforts, partly because I like the clicking of actual buttons. And also because they are shit.

soft typer, although i notice that i type harder when i'm angry which i'm sure is common for most people.
