- Old Wild Dog outfit > new outfit
- Evil Laurel is great, & way better than old Laurel. And so stunning *swoon*
- Diggle needs to get checked ASAP, its gonna come back to bite him.
- Thea 😬
- Olicity is fine. Seems like background stuff.
- Oliver getting Rene another hearing brought the feels.
I can only rank it above Flash since I dont watch Supergirl & Im behind on Legends.
The quality between this and Flash continues to show. But I'm still conflicted on William's mom. Did they ever show her body, or only Thea's? Unless they did, I'm not convinced that she's dead.

Well she live long enough to tell oliver to take care of the kid so i say she dead .
If she was a bigger side character i could see maybe they bringing her back but she is not .
So every time they try to act like Slade and Oliver are bros now, I can't help thinking, "Hey remember when he murdered your mother in front of you? Good times."

Slade wasn't that crazy before. he was a hardened killer with a WHOLE bunch of psychoses (much like Flashback Oliver. Then he was emotionally manipulated, and injected with Crazy, and kept getting his regular shots of Crazy.
*Chase, on the other hand, is naturally crazy with no artificial additives or growth hormones.

The writers are setting up for Slade to betray Oliver again which will shock Oliver because how can his bro betray him while audience just pretends to be shocked
It was something I saw lurking the Arrow reddit page this summer. Don't remember what their source was - just posted it here because the events of this episode lined up perfectly with that rumor.
First off, I'll say that the action directing itself the past few seasons or so has really gotten better. There was a point where I felt it was lazy, maybe three seasons ago when Flash and Legends quickly established their own styles and Arrow rethought how to approach it and give it something more unique than what those can offer - now you see good camera work, stunts and long takes that allow fight scenes and stuntwork to really be appreciated. This premiere continued that trend, good work all around by those teams. They can't rely on computer effects and it's really nice to see good action work on screen (and consistently, too) today.
The writing is utter garbage, though. We have, again, a plot about Diggle maybe having PTSD of some sort, another plot of the Arrow's identity being revealed and another friggin Det Lance troubled with his daughter(s) and trying to deal with that while not drinking. How many times are we going to these wells? That water has to be dried up.
They're going to pull another back-from-the-dead too, you know, because Thea was barely touched upon
And boy they kept bringing up "the graduation" every single conversation, didn't they? Who cares? Even they didn't, we didn't even see this "graduation" they kept bringing up like it's this really big and important thing.
A highlight in the story, though far from in depth: Oliver trying to deal with his son is a nice take and potentially a good character arc for him and his son. I feel this could potentially go somewhere, at least for a first-half or third of the season and maybe get a little more into the character on being a father-figure. Other than that, a lot of familiar shit that I'm not too keen on right now. I also like Evil Laurel even if it's familiar. She just fits better as a villain.
A lot of good action in this episode. A little disappointing to have the cliffhanger copped out as literally one person died and it was the expected one. I'm not saying kill off half the cast but don't introduce a big cliffhanger if you don't plan to follow through.
Is Deathstroke allowed to just walk around? Surely he is a wanted man, especially in Star City.
Oliver got them Argus connections, he's gonna be fine, plus regarding the promo
why would the FBI investigate him? There should be some higher up thar prevents that considering they basically know who he is, yeah I'm still miffed that they had government people knowing who Barry was in the crossover
Supergirl, Flash, and Arrow premiere were meh.. so now that they have ran out of Oliver's island flashbacks, gonna get burning island flashbacks all season...yikes..
