Guess we will see if his insider source is real there.

“I am REDACTED with Ubisoft REDACTED as a REDACTED, working mainly on REDACTED, which has its problems with REDACTED.

I am contacting you regarding an upcoming and unannounced delay with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This is mainly due to complaints from cultural officials around the destruction of shrines but also to patch numerous bugs.

The delay should be announced in about a week, and it will probably be until May.

along with yotei, that'll be 3 samurai games coming out within months of each other. i'm thinking the ultimate winner may be a reduced-in-price rise of the ronin...
I personally have no interest Yotei, when comes to Samurai games I more interested in Onimusha 2 and Onimusha: Way of the Sword (unfortunately that one coming on 2026).

I'm hoping FROM surprise me and announce Sekiro 2.

lmao, i think in their last messenger on X they literally said we can ignore george floyd because it's too late for them to remove him, and it has no impact on gameplay

Smash JT gets the benefit of the doubt. Gonna be nuts if it gets delayed again. That means a Q1 title for Ubisoft? They’re punting Q4?

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Putting it out of March will make it miss the dreaded Q4 earnings window. They would be either 1. crazy to do that or 2. have some completely game breaking things still left to be ironed out that would mandate this delay.

We’ll see. Ubisoft is in complete disarray right now.

At this stage should they just cut their losses and cancel it outright, shelve everything and come back to it all in a couple of years and rework the story to be more faithful to the franchises roots…. considering the potential unrecoverable damage this will do to the franchise there are worse options..

No-one wants this piece of political DEi in their games. Gaming is a hobby we use to escape from reality during our leisure time, very few will want to invest time and money into something so compromised by the insistence of keeping the agenda, problematic ideologies and the source of the problem within the game.

Assassins Creed Japan should have been MAGNIFICENT, fans have been clamouring for it for decades at this point, yet Ubisoft decided to follow the political agenda and shove it down gamers throats…
I have all the other AC games and have been a fan since I bought the first one on ps3
Some of them I’ve picked up on discount
This will be the first one I refuse to buy, even if that helps contribute to the collapse of Ubisoft, they are on life support right now, putting this out as a AAAA title is like the relatives deciding it’s time to say goodbye and pulling the plug on that life support

As it stands right now, I will wait for this to be used at GameStop for $20.

If they actually fix the disrespectful, tone deaf, clueless content and focus on Naoe, I will pony up the $70 spot on day one.

I will not shed a tear when Ubi goes under. It can't come soon enough.
