I don't think we're that far apart on this. Satin and you are saying that they won't Jones ringside because he would be a distraction, to disdain and disbelief. I'm saying that he would be a distraction, especially since Jones 1) probably doesn't have a deal to do business with WWE, so they wouldn't bother inviting him to sit ringside and 2) they would gain little from having him sit ringside. He would be a distraction, and the appeal of mainstream (read: ESPN) coverage doesn't matter because they already have a business arrangement with ESPN to use ESPN as their medium for news. Unlike when they invite NFL, MLB, or NHL players or NASCAR drivers, Jones challenged one of their wrestlers to a fight in another company. Why would the WWE want to give promotional time or attention to Jones when they don't stand to gain? I'm sure that's the rationale Jones heard, but I don't think this instance is as worthy of scorn or a reason to point at WWE and say how stupid they are as the other actually dumb things they do.

Evolve's booking is secretly a mess. They run one weekend a month, and their matches don't build. They start the feud after the first match, which makes some sense since they put a heavy emphasis on in-ring quality, but their small roster means that it's hard to actually separate wrestlers to make the matches feel meaningful.
Also, the shows at La Boom are usually hot. Joppa, Maryland or the Florida shows, not so much.

The WWN title hasn't helped, but I don't think anyone was thrilled with Thatcher vs. Catch Point last year. They have little stories, but there isn't a guiding line. And I look at how awkward Keith Lee's build has been as an example.

All Western promotions seem to have a serious issue with long term booking, most of revolves around small, unimpactful mini feuds and FOTM matchups. OTT is really guilty of this recently as well, which is super disappointing. I think CWF Mid Atlantic is the only exception .
