It's like no one noticed the sheer proliferation of spears around these parts.

Punk's elbow drop WAS good at one point. Like, I'm not crazy or committed enough to go back through hours of tape to check this, but I'm pretty certain it was at one point at least an acceptable Macho tribute.

That wasn't BS though. Even Stardom people were saying they were told by Kairi that she was going to have to change it.

They just changed their mind for whatever reason. Probably because they've fucked Bayley beyond belief so who cares who else does her moves.

No other talent officially announced outside of the flyer, though Keith Lee and Joey Janela both tweeted they'll be there. I hoped it'd be a bunch of lowkey BOLA runoff so I'm hoping there's some cool shit

I also kind of think Fenix will actually get unmasked which is kind of hilarious, unless there's some no contest fuckery. Pentagon held the title for a few months last year but idk

Not women. The two women who use an elbow drop as a signature move are Kairi and Bayley.

But even then, whatever there reason was for changing their mind is irrelevant. The fact is that they definitely did give her that verdict at some point.

Glad I took FE's recommendation for Everybody's Golf. Been playing it for 3-4 hours and I really love the game. Nice chill game to just play for hours. I'm starting to unlock things quicker now. I tore through the beginning rounds pretty easily.

I'm finally catching up on the Mae Young Classic.

I've watched the first 3 episodes, about to start the 4th.

Am I the only one that's felt a little...........underwhelmed so far?

If you were expecting a showcase, then you might want to look to the later rounds. This first round was clearly more designed to establish the top women than it was to wow people like the first round of the CWC was.

There's not much you can do with 4 ~8 minute matches per episode, CWC and the UK Tourney had some really forgettable matches in the 1st round as well. Day one of the UK Tournament was actually pretty forgettable outside of what they did with Dunne actually

A lot of the first round was just showcase matches. It should pick up in the second round now that most of the greener workers are out.

The problem with the first round was that the talent wasn't good enough to job properly to showcase the early favorites. It doesnxt help that some of those early favorites are still green themselves and aren't at the level of carrying weaker talent.

Say what you will about the guy that jobbed to Ibushi in the first round of the CWC, but he helped Ibushi look like a world killer to fresh eyes.

I mean they fed Tessa Blanchard to Kairi Hojo who has the Ibushi last first match round this tournament.

That match was legitimately good.

Hm, all valid points.

I do have to say though, Rachael Ellering/Evers' 1st round match was pretty rough.

I'll be recovering from surgery at home for a couple weeks in mid-October, and while I'm already planning on getting Everyone's Golf for that time, all the Mario+Rabbids hype is making me want to buy a Switch and get that, too.

Yup, you can almost see the exact moment when they tell the referee and she starts to talk a lot with both women, and then they seem all confused and can't come up with something on the spot so they try to continue the match as if nothing had happened, and they end the match with an underwhelming roll up added after the kick out to Marti's move which was the how the match was supposed to end originally

A majority of the talent was very lackluster. I can't believe I had to wait until EP4 to finally get to Kairi Sane.

I mean she was the last match for a reason.

They tried to sign more Joshi wrestler for the tournament but struck out.

I still liked the first round because the hoses stood out even in a losing effort.
