Wow. 16 years ago. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This game is being kept barely enough alive to make Ubisoft look ever so slightly less profitable in order to reduce their tax liabilities. It's the only explanation.

I don't have good experiences with games taking this long. Duke Nukem and FFXV to name a few. Admittedly, I like FFXV but so much potential was obviously wasted with the troubled development.

Nobody gave a shit about BG&E1. So I dont see why anyone would care about a sequel delayed over 10 years.
I said it many times on GAF, but this franchise along with other ones like Abes Odyssey and Psychonauts gets a skewed amount of gaming threads about them, but sales wise are typically rock bottom tankers. There's a vocal crowd who love them, but most gamers dont care.

I really liked BG&E when it came out. A nice little Zelda-like with great music, and just dark enough thematically not to interfere with the shit ton of pot I smoked at the time. Not very interested in whatever the hell a sequel would be at this point.

I would only give a shit if Ancel was still involved, but yeah without him? Zero expectations of this game being anything to pay attention to, and that is assuming it ever releases. Guess we will check in another ten years what progress has been made lol.
