I'm kind of depressed and angry at the same time . So , I want to take some suggestion what should I do . In this thread I Will not be promoting anything Just looking for opinion what should I do because I'm too depressed and angry to take any decision . So here is my story that I want to share.

If any one of you saw my previous thread about my channel so I reached 5k sub on my channel .I really worked hard on it and spend day and night to reached to 5k subs . I had to go through some investments and hard work but all went well my effort really worked but consistently A big Youtuber with 378k stealing my content , idea and video . He copies my video ideas as it is with minimum changes different and almost same title . He usually copies my video one that gain views and the concept is very well attractive . In many cases he out perform my video's and my rank get loss and views . Now the guy was friend of mine who I actually teach how to start youtube channel he gain success as he was free and I'm a student to it was pretty hard for me to work with both . I talk to him , also asked him to stop stealing my content but he won't listen . I can't copyright strike since he is coping the concept as it is and making his own video . I insulted him , requested him , tried everything but he is not listening . He knows I can't do anything . Now What Should I do I want to take opinion . I believe in hard work and self-believe but he is pretty much coping all my good idea and won't let my channel grow . I helped him in past I even given many gameplays and idea which got million . He backstab me . It is making me very angry that I can't do anything .

If this is true, I'd contact youtube and explain the situation to them. If that doesn't work, there are a few big channels that deal with these situations. I'd contact them and maybe they'll help you out.

Post on social media like Twitter and reddit, this kind of incident happened many times, so study the past and find out what kind of post/format/language will gain click and traction.

Use everything you have if your in any of the minority group such as sex/race/mental health/etc. Do not pull punches. You don't need to go all out crazy, but if you can't be a bit psychopathic, you will be in a disadvantage.

But then again, may be your friend only copied the concept and idea of your video? If so that's not illegal at all, concept and idea are freely traded in the entire platform, you are also free to copy others idea to get more subscribers and viewed. Unless your friend outright stealing your video you won't have much of a case. Just continue to work hard, try your best. If all else fail study a field in STEM with great job demand, YouTube isn't the only thing in life, who know, may be professional development will help your video get better. Like those experienced lawyers on YouTube.

The main problem is he copying all my videos which are gaining views and He pretty much stealing he does not bother to change 1% of video . A complete rip off . If I would allowed to show the video . 90% of you won't even believe how he is ripping off my hard work concept which is purely mine not even uploaded by some other youtubers.

Yeah but main problem is he only copies my video almost as it is with little or sometimes no change . I do research concept's and video but that guy is completely ripping off all of main concept video which is purely my concept than out rank me on youtube and gain more views . he is not stopping . He copied almost 20+ of my videos and in future he won't leave .

Of course you can always put him on blast on social media so his fans take note. The internet hates frauds. So after checking your DM I can absolutely confirm that this guy is shamlessly copying your videos. I watched one of your examples side by side and it is more than obvious.

I don't really know what to do though if Youtube themselves are not willing to help. Name and shame on social media perhaps, post those videos you sent me side by side? Do you know anyone with a large following on Twitter maybe who could retweet you to get the message out?

You might make a Youtube video clearly giving examples of him copying you and hope your viewers side with you. Not sure how well that would turn out for you.

Honestly, not sure what you can do that would work except maybe make your videos so good that it would take a large amount of work to copy them. You could talk to a lawyer. Maybe wherever you live has a looser concept of copyright.

i would advise against limiting yourself to one platform. Youtube in particular is heavy on censorship. i have had many of my videos removed and flagged for copyright content. i have had stuff taken down. there is a lot of censorship, and yes, they overly favor the big wigs. if this is a bigger channel there may be nothing you can do.

kind of difficult to judge any of this tbh. do you have examples? show a video you did and a video he did that you think is a copy. without any examples i have no idea what kind of content you are even talking about. there is really no way to give you advice with no context.

How do I put this nicely? He's probably is stealing your ideas (and from other creators), but the videos that cover the same subject matter seem fairly low effort. It's mostly just text overlays over game play trailers/recorded game footage. Let's take the R&C load time as an example. Why not go back and record some PS2/PS3/PS4 R&C footage and compare the level load times to show the evolution/devolution throughout the platforms those games have appeared on. Also, commentary would help the videos seem a lot less lifeless.

Make a video where you call him out and ask your subscribers to dislike/flag/comment on his videos. Post your video everywhere.

Pay a hacker to post porn on his channel and get it terminated.

Investigate his social media and dig up dirt to blackmail him.

Move your content in a direction that doesn’t align with his channel anymore.

Just throwing a bunch of ideas out there.

my take is, if you're not making a significant amount of money on your own channel, then ultimately it isn't worth it to go after this guy. yeah, contact youtube and do what you can, but don't hire a lawyer or anything.

Try to embed a tiny mesage or watermark etc into your videos. Something that calls him out for stealing your video.
When he uses it, point it out in his comments.
Wait until he uses a few of the videos.

There are other good suggestions in the thread - make your own video about copying content and post it on social media and forums. You can also try contacting youtubers who specialize in making videos about that kind of stuff. They'll be happy for having a pitch for their next video and you'll be happy for letting people know about the person copying your content.

I still think there's a big difference between creating videos based on ideas found all over the Internet and making videos based on ideas from one particular channel. It's still probably unlikely for youtube to do anything if the OP would contact them, because I'm assuming the other channel is not performing blatant plagiarism which would allow for copyright strikes.

If he is copying concepts of the videos, think of it as the react brothers trying to copyright react videos formats. Your only real focus should be in making it better and maybe adding something that can't be copied, sometimes that can be your personality, you style of editing or whatever you can think of. That is just how it goes on creative endeavors most of the time since everything it's already created from other ideas.

Also, you could always make a video about how his channel copies yours if it really is something shameless and use the same tags and his channel name so the video gets recommended to his viewers this would milk the situation in a drama circle if he responds with a video too.
