What is the purpose of bloodtinge and arcane?

Bloodtinge: Increases gun damage.

Arcane: Increases magic. Magic is apparently very rare, so this is probably not something you want to spec for your first playthrough.

What to you, stands out as being worse than it's predecessors?

Me? I have no idea. Length, number of weapons/options, combat, healing, etc. Could be anything. But the chances that everyone would find it better than Demons/Dark/DarkII is slim to me. I have a feeling that will be divisive even within GAF.

Just... keep expectations in-line. That's all I meant.

EDIT: Divisive as in which is "the best". I think most people on GAF will like the game overall.

I'm making a female Hunter and naming her Helvetica. I used this name for previous Souls characters.

Sophia Kirkegaard, my kickass female hunter. Or maybe an old dude, but I can't come up with a cool name. Johanness Aspengaard, maybe?
Violent past, or waste of skin if I'm not too afraid.
Hunter axe in one hand, blunderbuss in the other. Why not be brute if you can? Kirkhammer ASAP, though. Low range, awesome damage, maximum stakes.

• The only thing known about Bloodtinge thus far is that Firearms deal Blood damage (possibly also related to Blood Bullets), and the damage modifier scales with the Bloodtinge stat.
• Arcane increases the damage done by Fire and Bolt damaging Weapons and Items. *We don't know if Arcane will affect fire damage from a "gadget point of view", or if it will affect the firebomb from an "elemental point of view". Gadget meaning the knowledge of how to effectively use the gadget, while elemental means the knowledge of fire itself (more like pyromancy).

Thanks. You guys think a skill build will prevent you from using most of the other weapons? They seem str based, at least superficially.

There's at least 3 pretty awesome skill based weapons I know of, and a few of the weapons scale equally with strength and skill it seems like. I'd say you shouldn't go too wrong with either.

So I ordered the CE from amazon on friday, was offered arrival on launch with 2 day shipping and declined. Was disappointed the game wouldn't arrive til march 30th, so I changed shipping to 2 day, and apparently that dropped me out of que, and I wouldn't receive it until May 7th. I'm gonna cancel, and jsut get the digital edition. I wanted that steelbook though.

Can worlds only be invaded if the host has summoned help for co-op?

Some areas will have a bell maiden (NPC). She can summon invaders.

K gaf need help. Trouble deciding on origin. I wanna use saw cleaver to begin with but want to be agile and fast. Was thinking troubled childhood or professional at first but saw cleaver scales D in dex. So how about military vet with good balance of strength and skill and maybe first few lvls and some endurance to dance. What you guys think?
