Michael McWhorter is a big Souls fan. I don't think Polygon haters are going to have much to latch onto this time around.
Indeed. These Polygon jokes aren't worth making.

I see. I was hoping for lulz from some people. Perhaps not.Michael McWhorter is a big Souls fan. I don't think Polygon haters are going to have much to latch onto this time around.
I like this quote from Destructoid.
I know, I know.Times are always going to be different for these type of games.
"ugly ass visuals"
hmmm.
HMMMMMMMMMM.
they gave 9.0 to ds 2 which looks like ass
incoming polygon 7.5/10 a la Last of Us
Doesn't Sony usually do price drops and redesigns at Gamecom and not E3? I'm pretty sure that is where we got all of the PS3 price drops and redesigns.Man, E3 can't come soon enough. I refuse to buy a PS4 until I see what bundles they will offer, or if there's a redesign.
These 9's and 10's make is so much harder. Why. WHY YOU DO DIS.
There's a mechanic that only goes live at launch, so maybe because of spoilers? Why did sony put embargo on the reviews?
They could have got more preorders from the high praise it is getting everywhere.

Although it barely matters to me what most reviewers think, it's definitely adding to the excitement. I can't help it.
Let's not. He isn't reviewing it, and he obviously didn't play because he can't remember shit from less than a few days ago. Just let him be (a dick).incoming polygon 7.5/10 a la Last of Us
''Ugly ass visuals'' though...
They'll give it as low a score as they possibly can while trying to seem impartial. May even be as high as an 8.I'm really wondering what Polygon will do. They can't really go that low this time, my guess is they'll try a 7 or 7.5
Time for his yearly eye appointment.
Technically unimpressive. Lot of shimmering.
I love the art tho.
Really? Though he was very easy,Flameluker on the other hand is annoying.I know, I know.
I got stuck with Maneater, for God knows how long, lol.
Game's not for everyone. This is very true.
Game is technically not very impressive. It's art does a lot to carry it, but if it's not your jam, that's fine.
Why are you dying? It's a review, and a 7.5 is a fine score.
gies isn't reviewing the game.
I'm so confused...ign saying 40+ hours possibly 80...nzgamer says they beat it in 22 hours. lol huh?
I just finished it in my thread before it was locked

Shane Wall reviewed DS2.
Steve Wright reviewed BB.
Framerate is dicey- posted about it in the preview thread. Still much better than DS.I don't think it's necessarily technically unimpressive either tbh. Amazing amounts of complex geometry, great lighting, a good amount of scope and scale, decent textures, good character models, great particle effects and other effects etc. It's just the overall IQ and some of the questionable post processing additions that let it down slightly. I do agree the art direction is highly competent though. I have a feeling the frame rate might be a bit ropey though, as is typical of these games.
But having played the game for nearly 40 hours, exploring the vast dreary world of Yarnham, it's clear that Bloodborne is an incredible, beautiful follow-up to From Software's Demon's Souls and Dark Souls.
The game is exactly what Souls fans have been hoping for in this new generation of consoles. It’s gorgeous, terrifying, relentless and highly addictive. There’s so much depth to this game that it’s impossible to go over everything, and there will be many surprises in store over the next few months as swarms of Hunters descend on Yarnham and explore its twisted alleyways and endless secrets.
Give it a chance – not just a couple of hours, mind, but five or ten; enough to let its claws sink in nice and deep – and you’ll probably find Bloodborne an intoxicating dose of pure masochistic pleasure.
It’s one of the best action RPGs I’ve ever played. It’s brutally difficult, but never cheap, and it’s one of the most atmospheric games in recent years.
Bloodborne is something truly special – a barbaric horror RPG that will giveth and taketh away in perfect measure, wrapped up in a perverse world that will refuse to let you go.

This will be remembered as a masterpiece at the end of this generation.
This is history in the making.
Considering how much harsher publications are in general this gen (just look how rarely games get 10's lately),
